Went into shop, said hello and got the reply "we're closing in 5 minutes"! I asked for two americanos with cold milk. After sighing, she replied "I'm going to have to go through to the back for that!", then remained standing, almost daring me to say don't worry about it. Suffice to say, I said I was happy to wait. She then said "I'll be taking both coffees through at the same time cos I'm not coming back twice! " I said nothing and waited for her to return. When she did, she said 'that's your cold water in your americanos ". I told her that it was cold milk I wanted, not cold water and got another sigh from her! At that point, I really couldn't be bothered dealing with this rude, petulant individual, took my coffees and left. As a post script, while I waited on the coffees, another employee was filling refuse bags with the remaining products- of which there was huge amounts. I saw her binning at least 50 donuts, an almost full tray of sausage rolls and as I was leaving, numerous sandwiches, rolls and salads were being binned too! I find that totally obscene when a quarter of Scottish kids are living in poverty and many families are struggling to feed themselves! I'll be emailing Greggs to ask what their policy is regarding...
Read moreWouldn't recommend, we were driving past Inverurie and we thought Greggs would be a good place to stop, have a snack and a coffee. We walked in and tried to order food. Pizza yes, wife said pizza would be good, I try to order a margarita. I heard sorry, it's already cold, so try to order salami, same sorry, is cold too, then I asked which pizza is ok to order, the server replied none as all prices are cold. I was disappointed because the waiter heard us talking about pizza and never mentioned anything. He should say something about this, it will be definitely faster. So we managed to order something to eat, I asked for coffee and reply from waiter and I thought I was going to kill someone there. I heard the machine is broken. I looked around at the other tables, everyone there was drinking some kind of hot drink, including coffee. Then I asked what time do you close, so they close within 20 minutes. The waiter didn't say it directly, but the coffee machine looked like it had already been cleaned and turned off. So if you want to go to Griggs in Inverurie, go an hour before...
Read moreGreggs of late have just pleased themselves with the hours they open. Closed on Sundays, closed through the week at 3pm, the latest being 7am (used to be 6am) until 4pm. All they are interested in is the lunchtime schoolkids money, its pathetic. They say its because they dont have a manager, but its a national company, so why dont they either promote / employ one, or transfer one.
This morning, after having no power at home (again), i thought, i know i will get a nice hot drink from Greggs. I went there and found it didnt open until 7, so i stood at the door freezing my bits off, watching the staff, who clearly saw me, messing about and keeping their heads down. At 7.15 yes 7.15, they still hadn't opened the doors. Absolutely disgusting behaviour and company, they dont deserve to be in business. I wont be going back and hope the school kids...
