I was walking to the train station and wanted to pick up a snack for the ride, and got a fruit scone here. I wish I'd tasted the scone before I was already halfway to Edinburgh, because I immediately wanted a dozen more. I loved how flaky and light it was, and not overly sugary. I enjoy all kinds of scones, but this one might be my favorite ever!
It was a shame I didn't have time to sit and have tea in the shop, because it was a really lovely space and there were some really pretty tea sets on...
Read moreA very lovely cafe. I didn't notice they were there until I passed by one day and curiously looked up (we're new to Uddingston). Decided to have lunch, it was busy but they accommodated me in a amtable booked 45mins later. I don't eat that long so it was fine for me. Had the special of the day baked macaroni with bacon served with garlic bread and chips. Soooo good. Very lovely, friendly staff. I'll need to try the cakes...
Read moreThe lady serving us was very helpful, cafe clean and tables well spaced, unfortunatly the waitress couldn't tell us which of the delicious looking cakes were nut free.
We were also charged 60p for a jug of water to accompany our tea as we don't take milk. When questioned the waitress advised that it was because she had to washed an extra pot.
She did however take this 60 p off the bill...
