Luciano's Glasgow — Restaurant in Scotland

Hugely disappointed with this restaurant for a specific reason. We went with friends and generally the meal was good but my wife is coeliac and suffers severe reaction to gluten. She was ill a couple of hours after visiting Luciano’s - firstly they served bread which they say was gluten free but we are not sure if they mixed them up with our friends dish - (they had already mistakenly give us another tables food) this could have been the issue or otherwise it was the sauce with the main course - they mistakenly served up a wheat based sauce for my wife’s main course but replaced this when we queried . We suspect the same food may have been reused with an alternative sauce which should not happen. I emailed the restaurant to let them know and I wasn’t looking for any rebate or freebies - just an apology and some reassurance that staff should be retrained - I’ve not even had the courtesy of a reply. Ordered Takeaway at 6.10pm tonight. Advised order ready for collection at 6.50pm. Further comms advising order ready at 6.43pm. Arrived at restaurant at 6.45pm, advised order not ready. Waited in the restaurant until 7.10pm before order ready. Asked why the delay, Informed that the kitchen was in chaos and that I should call at the end of the night for an explanation. Escorted off the premises and as I walked up the road the manager shouted "please don't come back". I couldn't understand why the restaurant had encouraged me to arrive at 6.43pm when the order clearly was not ready. I would consider myself and my family regular customers both in the restaurant and using the takeaway. I have never experienced such a response from a member of staff in any restaurant that I have ever visited. I must say that in all previous visits to Lucianios I have never had any cause for complaints. Something clearly went wrong tonight. I didn't recognise any of the staff and wonder if that is the cause of my poor experience. Not a great experience for my 6 year old daughter either who...

We can’t thank Luciano’s enough for making our wedding day so special. From the moment we decided to have our wedding here, the staff were warm, welcoming, and so attentive – nothing was ever too much trouble. They truly went above and beyond to make sure everything ran smoothly, and we felt completely looked after throughout the day.

The food was absolutely incredible – every single dish was fresh, beautifully presented, and full of flavour. Our guests are still talking about how amazing the meal was, and we couldn’t agree more.

The entertainment was equally fantastic, creating the perfect atmosphere and keeping the celebration alive from start to finish. It all came together so seamlessly and exceeded every expectation we had.

Luciano’s gave us a day we’ll cherish forever, and we’re so grateful to the whole team for their hard work, warmth, and genuine care. If you’re looking for somewhere that treats your special day as if it were their own, we couldn’t recommend them...
