AVOID AVOID AVOID SHOCKING SERVICE ON arrival we were met with a thin blonde miserable waitress we asked for a table for 3 who snarled had we booked a table when we said no she rolled her eyes to check diary and reluctantly gave is a table on learning we weren't eating food after basically being harassed every ten minutes we were embarrassingly moved to the other end of the resteraunt even tho we were on our second lot of cocktails that are over priced and to be honest tasteless Staff are shockingly rude, which that night consisted of to blonde waitresses who looked like they clearly hated their job and a smile would of been out of the question, a jumped up waiter who took delight in removing us when learning we werent eating as the previous two attempts by the miserable blonde waitress failed to do so as we were still deciding ,no service with a smile no friendly chat and certainly no thought for their customers as it made us look like we weren't good enough for their silly little resteraunt even altho we hadn't quite decided if we were eating their or not yet apparently if you don't order straight away you get moved to the lower class tables we sat in a far from busy ( no wonder with their attitudes) resteraunt in our freezing seats at the door finished our cocktails which being frozen took us a bit and promptly left due to feeling like we were second class for not eating in the resteraunt which might I add the table WE were moved from was not filled in the hour we were there nor were the other 3 vacant tables in their over priced jumped up resteraunt. They should maybe realise they are far from what they think they are and perhaps revisit their customer service training they clearly skipped or epically failed alongside how to present to work with tidy hair smiley faces and ironed uniforms definitely a place that is not worth the money or the money to be treated like that...
Read moreAfter hearing about this place we gave it a go. My family have been eating at piccolo mondo renfrew since I was in short trousers so I was keen to try the newest venture by them along the road. Inside the decor is nice and the staff that dealt with us were friendly. The food was pretty good but not quite up to the piccolo standard it was presented well but not memorable. The cocktail guy was a character and friendly which was good. Sadly while we were eating two members of kitchen staff rushed through the restaurant one already with a roll up hanging out his mouth. Then upon their return one of the guys stood behind the bar chatting to the girl who was there. He went into great detail about the performance of another member of staff and their history within the company and by the end I felt sorry for the poor guy being discussed. Up until then everything had been reasonably good but engaging in this type of chat was extremely unprofessional given everyone could hear it. We decided to leave and skip dessert and as soon as we left we both said the same...
Read moreAvoid if you have allergies!!!
My partner and I made a reservation tonight after checking the menu online to make sure there were enough options for my partner who is allergic to alcohol. He spotted a risotto which had no alcohol listed as an ingredient on the menu. When we got to the restaurant, my partner asked to make sure and the waiter told him there was in fact alcohol in the risotto. My partner told him he couldn't have any alcohol but the waiter told him it was OK because the alcohol gets burnt out! I asked if the dish could be freshly made without the wine but we were told the food is premade, not freshly cooked! So although the menu states to tell you waiter if you have allergies, they won't be able to cater for you anyway!! We then decided to leave as the only thing my partner could eat was fish goujons and the bartender had the nerve to still charge us for bread and soft drinks. First and last time...
