Piccolo Mondo Renfrew — Restaurant in Scotland

today I visited this restaurant for the first time and I have to tell you that I am very pleasantly surprised... the service was nice and unobtrusive, the dishes were served quickly (of course you had to wait a while for some of them, but it was still quite fast), and the place itself: very clean and tastefully decorated

now probably the most important thing: we ordered four different dishes, I had the rack of lamb, in addition there was also the classic lasagne al forno, pasta principessa and linguine alla marinara; and I have to tell you that I am veeeery pleased, the food was really delicious, my guests that I was with also left the place satisfied and full, we also ordered desserts and here too there was no surprise: everything was very tasty

so with a pure heart I can rate this place as one of the most pleasant I have visited recently... I highly...

Had a great night for our Ruby Wedding Anniversary with close family. We picked the Celebration Dinner package, but more than half the main courses had suppliments which I feel for £45 per head a bit rich as there were plenty other dishes that could have been included in the package without having suppliments The meals we truly delicious and service was second to none, but when I went to pay the bill they had added nearly £50 service charge ( tip) which I feel was taking a liberty and slightly put a downer on the night as I feel the customer should determine the tip they leave based on the food and service. Not the more you spend an extra 10% is added to your bill. Totally not acceptable and would think twice if booking again as there are plenty of other restaurants giving the same quality and service with no service put at the bottom...

I was pleasantly surprised by Piccolo Mondo. From the outside it doesn’t look like much but inside is lovely.

We went for a festive menu and the turkey was delicious. The red wine was amazing too. However, what really stands out is the service.

From start to finish real care was shown to use thought the meal and we were made to feel very welcome.

A live pianist was playing and the place was clean and tastefully decorated.

As far as the local area goes this is a very nice restaurant. My only suggestion would be more options for gluten free AND vegan as a crossover, it’s not the most inclusive menu for dietary requirements.
