Food and service are always of a very high standard and it's always busy with both sit-in and takeaway customers. What I really like about it is the 'community' atmosphere. The staff know, and take very good care of, their regular customers, especially the older or disabled ones. (They're also friendly and welcoming to newcomers.) That's a very valuable and increasingly rare level of service. I imagine it means a great deal to those customers to know they'll be well looked after. From my own point of view, I ordered a black coffee and asked if the waitress could add some cold water to it (a simple request other places have struggled with!) For the cost, the food is great, cheap, basic, tasty but good quality and the service fast and excellent. Just an honest no frills every day cafe. What more can you ask for?
