Called in on a trip visiting the area. Prices were steep but we were hungry and not much else about. It started off so well, we were asked what we would like and decided on 2 teas, apple pie and custard (£6.50!!😲)for the other half and I decide on a scone with jam and butter. The waitress asked me if I would like it warm or toasted to which I replied "warm please". Sure enough it came warm and was very nice as was the apple pie. What ruined the whole experience was when we got the bill and found out we had been charged £1.50! to warm the scone!!! I know some might think it's only £1.50 and I'm being a bit petty but it's the principle and that the waitress NEVER mentioned it. A very wide range of dishes in the menu - our group ordered everything from all-day breakfasts to a mixed grill. Portions were huge, everyone enjoyed their food and we were impressed that one cafe can turn out good all-day breakfasts as well as mince & tatties AND a mixed grill which included perfectly cooked liver.
