OK, so I thought I’d found my favorite Chinese on this giant blue pearl in east belfast….. ….nope!! Mandarin garden even trounces it! This is by far and away the most understated Chinese I’ve ever witnessed. The staff were incredible, humorous, witty, knowledgable, and ingratiating. The food was out of this world - by far and away the finest salt and chilli pepper chicken I’ve ever had, utterly mind blowing, and the vegetables were awesome, the rice perfect and were I to be glutinous I’d have gone back and tried the rest of the menu. These guys are good - very very good!! The little store is hard to find though, but bear in mind that this is a small village in south Scotland - nothing is easy to find - so I made a video (but it won’t upload here -( just look for the red door with the light on!!) Enjoy enjoy enjoy!!!!

Fantastic and large portion of food, lovely and attentive service! Really regret not coming back the next day and having a disappointing meal elsewhere! Not a lot of choices of food in Peebles but I rate this place highly.

We really enjoyed our meal here. The restaurant is a simple affair just a few tables near to the takeaway counter. Service was quick and friendly. Food was generous and tasty.

I was very disappointed with my recent visit to this restaurant. Unfortunately, the hygiene standards fell well below expectations. The tables were not properly cleaned, they had that sticky feeling you can get in a lot of places, the floor was dirty, and the cutlery did not feel fresh, which made it uncomfortable to dine. In addition, several teenagers were using the facilities without eating in the restaurant, which did not help the overall atmosphere or sense of cleanliness.

This was particularly disheartening as I had visited several years ago, when the staff were welcoming, the food was satisfactory, and the environment felt much cleaner. Regrettably, the standards seem to have declined since then. Cleanliness is the foundation of a good dining experience, along with tasty food and significant improvements will be needed before I would...

Absolutely love this place! The staff are that friendly, pleasant and happy. You come here to be fed and you leave with a full belly and a smile. They all work so hard and the food is ready incredibly quickly, but the food is amazing. I always have the orange chicken and boiled rice. It's easily one of my favourite restaurants as far as quality of food and friendliness of staff. Honestly, they could show other businesses a thing or two about customer service and politeness. It's very popular with the locals and I always think that in itself is a good sign, as it was a local who recommended it to me in the first place.

For me, this is 5 stars all day long. My Parents love the food here too and it is well worth the money. Two thumbs up and 5 stars. We really appreciate how hard the staff work and it shows in the quality of the food...
