We visited the restaurant at lunchtime on 15th June as our son was having neurosurgery at sick kids at Little France. We got the call that his operation had gone well and he was in recovery after a 4 hour operation just as we finished our meal. As you’d imagine there were some tears of relief. Whether or not this was noticed I’m not sure but after I came back from the loo, a gentleman I think was called Ross was speaking to my husband who was explaining the situation to him. We left shortly afterwards, but later in the day I got an email to say that the cost of our meal had been refunded online. I’m sorry it has taken me so long to review as our son then had to go to ITU temporarily but is thankfully on the mend and we are back home. We just wanted to say that this gesture was so touching, it was an act of kindness we absolutely did not expect and it meant so much to us. We have paid this act of kindness forward and donated the cost of the meal to Ronald McDonald House at sick kids, who were able to offer us accommodation on site to be with our son during his stay, and who offer parents a lifeline to be with their children during some very scary hospital stays. We got back home today with a hale and hearty son who made a full recovery from his ITU scare, however we have not and will never forget the kindness of the gentleman we spoke to that day. Thank you...

Alarm bells should have been going when a table was complaining about something as they were leaving, and I overheard the manager appease them without ever sounding remotely concerned or bothered. The restaurant wasn't very busy, but plenty of tables remained uncleared for quite some time. After waiting 20minutes for my food it arrived missing the starter. I went and asked at the service area if my starter was coming, and was told sorry and it would be coming shortly. 20 minutes later someone came to ask me whether I wanted our plates clearing, I asked if my starter would be appearing at some point. Another shocked look, eventually it arrived, about 50 minutes after ordering, half an hour after reminding them, quite some time after I'd finished my main.
All the while there were two young kids doing laps whilst screaming. Without exaggerating they did actual laps for about 20 minutes, no staff attempted to resolve this, they just threw mucky looks at the table and children at every occasion.
It's only a nandos, but I'd expect a more pleasant dining experience...
Read moreLess than average place to have a meal if you are really hungry. Feels more like a fast food canteen rather than a restaurant. Order can be made either by coming to the till or through your phone by scanning a bar code of your table. The selection of dishes is based on different parts of chicken and how it is sliced. Vegetable options are very limited! The Great Imitator Wrap is totally not great in terms of taste and size, only the price is great! £8.5 for a barely ok wrap that can be finished in a few bites is not very nice! See the picture of a plate with a wrap that was served. Everything is cooked the same way, but the good thing is that sauces are free and unlimited including a few non spicy ones, ketchup and olive oil. Overall, the price doesn't match the experience and with their conveyor type of service it should cost much less including the fact that staff does not take orders at the table and only brings food and then clears everything. Most likely won't visit again unless price becomes lower and more vegetables appear...
