We had such a lovely time at Nando’s Inverness on Friday evening. As a family of four, we were pleasantly surprised. I was initially sceptical, especially with it being a chain restaurant and the fact that they don’t take table orders—I found the ordering system a bit confusing at first. However, I approached it with an open mind and I’m glad I did, as it turned out to be a great experience and has now become one of our new go-to spots. The menu has plenty of options, and they are very open and cautious about allergies. When I mentioned my daughter’s allergies, the order was immediately taken over by the manager, who personally ensured it was safe. They provided fresh, clean cutlery and confirmed her dish was prepared in a separate environment, which made us feel very reassured. The decor and music created a warm, welcoming atmosphere that felt like a mini holiday. Staff were incredibly friendly. We’re very happy and excited to return soon.

One of the most eagerly awaited Diners I was waiting for. Finally entered their outlet in Inverness and left thoroughly satisfied. Excellent spread of chicken in their heritage Peri peri sauces preparation. Chicken was lip smacking good and wholesome. Portions served were sumptuous. Selection of sauces and bottomless drinks were fascinating. Staff is very friendly and are prompt to ask of Allergen information before order and service is decently fast. A must Visit place after a long drive. Wheel chair accessible and open free parking.

Overall good. A couple of problems which were rectified very well by polite staff. Our order was missed initially so we had a long wait then when it did arrive my wife got the super hot sauce and I got the mild. This was quickly corrected and we got a fresh meal which was delicious. To compensate we received a complimentary drink each. Mistakes happen and when staff apologise and take action it allows a positive outcome. I would recommend this place for a bite to eat.

I went to Nando's (retail park) with my wife ( her birthday) and our toddler 2 weeks ago. Where to start. When we walked in we went to a table and sit. After that we were told that we needed to get up and wait near the door which was humiliating because there was plenty of empty tables. But we gave it a shot and after 5 min a member of staff showed an "available" table. I told my wife that we should get up and just go...but she was on a good mood, it was her birthday after all and she insisted to try the food. Yes we are very familiar with Portuguese or African or Brazilian food and proud of it. Thrust me there is nothing good on that food. From 1 to 10 the food worth a 2 or 3. We had to get up, order from the counter and pay before eating which we found offensive. Maybe they are afraid that costumers refuse to pay because of the food quality. After eating we concluded that the price was a rip off...Oh and the beer just awful. If you want good portuguese beer try Sagres, Super Bock or Coral. The wines from the menu are awful (wonder who did the menu) and highly expensive also (my wife is an expert in wines. She was in the wine business around 10 years). I would pay gladly £30 or £40 for a good bottle of wine in a restaurant ( like the Australian £5 Andrew Pearce, Shiraz or the portuguese Terras Del Rei (£2), Porta da Ravessa (£2), JP Azeitão (2£) or Serras de Azeitão (3£),etc ) but not the ones in the menu. You have better choices in UK like buying a roasted chicken for £6 from Tesco or cook yourself one even if you are not an expert. It is not children friendly also. Now the staff...None of them seemed friendly...not even a smile. It looked like they did not want to be there. The girl, the guy in the counter..just sad...only the manager ( I think it was the manager, had a different shirt) seemed to be worried about the customers. We paid a lot of money and thrust me you will be better eating in KFC, McDonald's, or Burger King, etc. We have been in plenty restaurants from the most humble ones to the better ones and Nando's was definitely disappointing and the worst experience ever. Not coming back not even for free. Scotish people are wonderful, simple, hard workers and friendly. They don't deserve this type of rip-off. It is cheaper going to the north of Portugal specially Porto and you will be treated like kings for a lot less money. I would give 0 stars but to post we need to give at least 1. Stay away from Nando's. It would also be lovely to not associate the portuguese, Brazilian or African name to Nando's brand. I find that...

I love me some Nandos. The staff here are friendly and the food is good. BUT their approach to allergens goes OTT and then some. If you have an allergy, you can't order at the table, you have to go stand in line for a manager to put your order through. Ok, Fine... if you're deathly allergic and keep epi pens on your person then this is brilliant. Their safety first approach is first class. However, don't expect to be eating at the same time as the rest of your table.

I have an allergy and I followed their guidelines to ordering. I was warned that while every effort would be made, some grill items couldn't be guaranteed as allergen free (for me). Not sure what the point in telling them was then but, OK no problem thats not unusual. Table for 2, my friend ordered at the counter since I "had to". She got her starter within 10 mins. Fantastic. She had eaten it, had it cleared, received her main course, still no sign of my starter. (Same one my friend ordered) I asked about it, ah yes (oops) I went to the drinks station and watched them cook it. No wipe down, no nothing just fired on beside other foods including the one i was allergic to and heated. Fine, I really didn't care, I was warned but, WHY wasn't that just done to begin with since there wasn't any change to how they did it. By the time My main arrived, my friend was finished and cleared and I was genuinely ready to walk out without eating it.

Maybe it was an off day. Maybe it was a new cook. Who knows. I've used this place before so can confidently say, Good food, good service, quick service (if you keep quiet about allergies). Always a busy place which I consider a benchmark for quality and efficiency. They honour military and emergency service discounts which in the current climate is almost unheard of. I will be back. But I'll say this, I won't be telling them next time that I have any allergy.

If you do happen to have severe allergies, you can rest assured that you will be...

Was looking forward to this visit as hadn't been to Nandos in a while. Although service was shocking on last visit to Nandos Inverness I thought because that was a while ago things must have improved now ? Wrong ! We stood at the door waiting to be taken to a table although there is nothing to say to wait to be seated. Barman looked to be busy but there was at least 3 young members of waiting staff standing near back of room talking amongst themselves and there appeared to be plenty of empty tables. Eventually I could see a more senior member of staff signalling the other members of staff to come to door to deal with us as a queue was now starting to form behind us But they just moved a little closer to us but still continued to talk amongst themselves. So we eventually decided to just sit down at one of the empty tables (none of which had reserved signs on them) but as soon as we sat down a young waitress came over and asked have we booked we told her no then she said in a rude tone this table is actually reserved.. We explained we didn't know this and had sat there as had waited for ages at the door & nobody had come to seat us. She then said rudely "that's because we were trying to work out what to do" and just walked away without offering an alternative table for us to sit at or even an apology for the delay! Huge lack of customer care training!! So at this point we walked out - and will not be setting foot in this Nandos again! I would say from past experience If you fancy sitting in at a Nandos ..dont go to the Inverness one as they dont know what...
