Number 31 — Restaurant in Scotland

Place was unattractive. The waitress got the drinks order wrong and the salad with our meal was dry and looked like it hadn't been washed and when we asked for a sweet the waitress told us the kitchen was closed now .As there was 15 minutes to go before the sign said meals were served until i questioned it and was told we could have a tray bake which we declined. The Manager then came over and said it was no problem for us to have a sweet as we had a meal and said the waitress wasn't aware she could supply one . Went in for a drink at the beer garden. Place advertised as being dog friendly however you are not allowed to go through the bar to the beer garden. Told by bar staff entrance is round the corner and through the gate. Kept walking as could not find the gate. Eventually tried a gate which was locked but member of staff was in process of unlocking it. Staff member took our order for drinks and they were brought to our table in plastic glasses. Were not approached again by any staff. Went downstairs to the bar to pay for drinks. Back upstairs to exit through gate. Would be a good idea to have a sign on the gate to say it was the entrance for Bar 31 beer garden. Would not be in a...

Stopped for a light bite and ordered soup of he day ,chunky veg soup .very disappointing both with the poor quality of the soup as it looked and tasted like 3 types of chunky chopped veg , carrot ,turnip and courgette with some hot water with a stock cube added, it was very bland and tasteless. Service was good, place was clean but having a customers dog in the eating area which was constantly yelping in the background to the point of being annoying was really off-putting and not one member of staff challenged the customer with the noisy dog .glad I didn't stay long...
