O'Connell's Bar and Diner — Restaurant in Scotland

I paid £38.00 for 2x 3 courses the first was hard and smelt stale i had breaded onions and a sauce 2 different girls asked twice each " is everything ok with yous ! Not a smile a smirk looking back ! Then 2x steak and chips .my steak was stringy and wen tried to cut it it broke up-into wee pieces , his steak had bubbly slether like fluid on it . It was severely raw to the point i think it was not even in a pan at all . There was also 2 or 3 wriggly whitish wormy type creatures on or in the meat . OMG i was in shock I could not-believe it . Pictures up shortly to prove when asked if we wanted our dessert we said no keep it . Then i was asked for bill . Which by the way i paid i was not sure about my legal status if id be committing a crime not paying so i did . However i felt violently sick i went straight over ro the phone repair shop to collect my phone and i proceded to tell the shop owner and his customers what just happened i showed them the pics. WOW s was their response sicker even wen the staff joked at the bar the red head waitress " you've been wormed"" your sick hen and should never be allowed to...

I can't thank Charlotte and the team at OC's enough! We held my brother and his husband to be's 'last rodeo' hen party here last night and what a great night. Charlotte was so lovely, she has kept in touch with me for months making sure everything was going to go smoothly.. we popped in for coffees and got to see the venue when we first booked and she kept in touch with me to plan the night from the meals / cocktails / entertainment / decor and everything in-between. Even to the point of on the night - when we were all tipsy and forgot how to work the karaoke - the girls sorted it out for us! And going above and beyond with little extras like sparklers for the prosecco etc. It was just really special. The girls behind the bar were brilliant too.. (Emma and I can't remember the other girls name - too much booze probably!) but what a laugh and perfect cocktails too! I would highly recommend OC's to anyone looking for a venue for a party or gathering, nothing was too much trouble. Thankyou...

Had a night out here for someone leaving the company I work for, so ended up in the upstairs bar area all night. Which looks lovely to be honest but for starters if your using card to pay, it's a minimum £10 spend which isn't great if you have to spend over £10 everytime you goto the bar. Had to get something I might not even have wanted to take it over the 10er everytime. Floor was a but sticky to be honest, and the toilets were not exactly well maintained. No toilet paper, hand towels stuck in the dispenser and a bucket under the urinal in the men's which the staff needed to be reminded to empty before it flooded. Not sure constant toilets checks are happening here as they should be. There was a nice buffet put on for us which was pleasant. No issues with the food I was eating, it was quite nice to be fair. Overall was average and some issues need looked into. Last but not least bar prices were higher than I expected, can't say it's somewhere I'll be back to...
