Went to Pacamara on Thursday ... My friends dog barked about 3 times as we entered and the girl who works there gave the dirtiest look to begin with. We ordered. Then I mentioned the table was sticky and got a long excuse from the man who runs the place about the wood and the varnish. (If a table is sticky it's not clean end of story.) Then he went on to say the dog was badly behaved and that our meal wasn't going to be cooked until he seen it could behave. As I said before, Cody had barked when we came in but didn't make a noise once after that. It was all went about the wrong way, and so badly so that my friend felt so offended and anxious that we had to leave and he did not once give an apology for making her feel this way. Its not the first time I've felt like the girl who worked there was rude and snide also and heard a few people saying the same thing. On this page also. It doesn't take much just to be nice and pleasant to your customers especially mid week when people could be struggling mentally already. I was just quite taken back to it and definitely won't be back. Eilish Mharianne...
Read moretl;dr was told to vacate table after we had been there for an hour.
Stopped here to catch up with a pal over brunch, weekend approx 11:30. Got seated no bother, only one of us got food initially, both had coffees though. 40 mins later got a bit more food and coffee. At exactly one hour and ten mins, got asked to vacate the table as they apparently couldn’t have us stay longer / they wanted the table back.
This was not mentioned when we entered or at any point up until then. Left about 10 mins later, at which point there were three other tables that were free so it wasn’t exactly as if we had been stopping anyone from sitting down. Pretty rubbish, really. Felt that we were just rushed along as soon as we had ordered something. If I wanted to just eat something I’d have got a takeaway, but the whole point of meeting up there was to catch up. Food great but will not...
Read moreI'd give Pacamara a much better review were it not for the seating problems because the food really is superb and the staff are so friendly.
The problem is that if you go in for brunch, there are always reserved signs on tables - understandable for tables of 4 when there are only 2 people, but not when they are on tables for two. There are many times we've tried to get in and the restaurant is empty due to the reserved signs. It's a pouzzle why people reserve a table for brunch and it's left for hours with no oen sitting there. We've often went away and came back much later to see the same tables sitting empty. People queueing outside remark on this and end up leaving. It's almost like they don't want customers and that's a shame because on the times we have managed to get a table it's been...
