I would like to write this review as I’m extremely disappointed in my experience today at a restaurant I am quite frequently at. We order here most weeks for delivery, collections and dining in it is our local. However I can most certainly say I will never order anything from Rosso Bothwell again.
After 45 mins of continuous calling to try place an order the phone line was busy. I called the restaurant many many times to no availability. After my frustration with this, I then extended myself to actually driving to rosso and going in in person to try and get an order placed. In this I had some understanding it was a Saturday and they maybe busy.
I was greeted in the restaurant abruptly and after explaining I had been Consistently calling for over 45 mins To try and place an order, a staff member offered zero apology and said “we are busy” I replied that I understood that hence my actual in person visit to place an order..... I was then told I actually cannot place an order I actually have to try and keep calling them to place a food order. I repeated my circumstance and that again I had tried that method for 45mins with no avail.
I was told again that there was nothing they could do.... even though I’m a regular customer (that shouldn’t even matter) as good customer service they should of apologised and offered to take my order or perhaps offer it in a delivery if I had a long time to wait for it. There was zero customer care instead just a rude abrupt unapologetic response. The staff member I was talking to did not want to help me at all. She literally was suggesting even though I was physically present in the restaurant to place an order taking self initiative to over come the problem I was having with rosso I was to leave go home and continue calling.... how much longer was I to do that for another 45mins? I should’ve of been able to place an order in person after the 45 mins of calling that was unsuccessful.
They need to respect their customers especially regulars and do what they can to help an order to be made instead offering a ridiculous solution with a rude unapologetic manner. I understand restaurants get busy but there Is no need for that.
I will be taking my money else where and safe to say will never order at Rosso Bothwell again!

Read moreI have been getting deliveries for rosso for years and never really had a problem till the other night. I phoned order my food paid with card as I always do, when my order came the driver asked me for payment which I replied oh I paid for it over the phone only to be told 3-4 times no you didn't then was told I took your order and you didn't pay for it she was so sure she was right that she also said I will check when I got back to the restaurant like I was lying and trying to steal or get away with not paying. I phoned the restaurant right away, I was told that the person who took my order didn't write paid on the slip but the woman at my door accusing me of not paying was the one that took my order she made sure I knew it was her that took the order as she told me 3 times. I was so upset with this that I asked for the women to phone me back when she returned to the store, she did and basically said listen I'm sorry I mixed you up with someone else like it was nothing, like accusing someone of not paying a bill was nothing to her I did thank you for her apology but at the end of the day if she had done her job correctly in the first place none of this would have happened. I will be for sure wary of ordering food from rosso again all because of one persons incompetence...

So I placed an order with Rosso tonight which was delivered roughly 6.30pm.
There was part of our order missing, which I understand, Saturday night, place will be busy.
I called the resteraunt and advised of the error, they apologised and advised it would be a wee while for this to be delivered as they were busy.
I accepted this and patiently waited for my missing order to arrive, 10 minutes to 8 I am still waiting, called the resteraunt to be told the driver already tried to deliver but there was no one answering. This is not true, there are three adults in the house, we would not all miss the door being chapped 'several times' as I was told it was.
I was then told that the order will be sent right now. 25 minute later I call back, again, to see where the rest of my order is. Given this is now 8.15pm to be told the driver is on route.
We finally received the missing part to our order at half 8. Two hours after we originally ordered it!
The food itself was absolutely delicious. Unfortunately, due to the poor customer service we have received I cannot see us ordering another...
