A great family friendly lunch/brunch spot. With old apothecary shelves, I love the vibe. They do events and kids birthday parties. We got a chance to sample the food, it was great! Didn't try any cakes, but they looked fab! See our full video review on our experience under The Olive Tree Family on all social media platforms.

Service was good and staff lovely. Food was ok. Used a itis on voucher Has goats cheese starter and burger main was a bit dry but ok. Wife had prawn cocktail and chicken milanese which was lovely with the gremolata/ salsa Verde.

I went to this place for my birthday dinner with my husband and daughter. We were greeted very warmly by a lovely waitress. Our drinks order was taken and then our food order Our drinks came quickly but the starters took about 15 minutes. Daughter didn't have one, husband had prawn cocktail which he said was delicious. I ordered lentil and ham soup and have to say it was a huge disappointment. It had barely any lentils, was very watery and there was absolutely no ham in it. There were however huge chunks of onion which was unpleasant. I only had a few spoons of it. Nobody checked to see how our food was and a different waitress took the full plate away without asking me if there was an issue with the food. When the main courses came, husband had monkfish scampi (again delicious) and daughter had burger and fries which she said was also delicious. I ordered carbonara and it looked like scrambled eggs in the plate. I had a couple of mouthfuls as I was hungry, but the texture was awful and I could eat no more. Nobody checked on our food until my companions had both almost finished. The waitress asked how our food was and I said that sadly, I couldn't eat it. She immediately apologised and asked if she could ge anything else. I said no thank you, the others are almost finished so it's too late. A few minutes later, she appeared with a fresh plate of carbonara. I said thank you, but it's too late....the others are now finished and I don't wish to eat while they both watch me. Waitress advised that it was the trainee chef that had prepared my food .. The new dish had been prepared by the real chef, but I honestly just wanted to go home at this point. Didn't even really feel hungry by that point I feel that there is potential for this place, but it will probably be a while...

Went in on Sunday morning at 11am. Ordered 2 coffees, 1 breakfast and pancakes. Originally had requested a tuna baguette but was told lunch didnt start until 1pm. Never heard anything like it before. There was plenty of empty tables but somehow we still waited an hour on our food being served. When we were waiting on it coming we heard 2 separate couples leaving as they had waited too long and then they were told what they had ordered was no longer available. Asked for sauce for the breakfast which never came, had to remind the girl about it and eventually we got it. The food was bang average, quite dry and tasteless. We weren't asked if we would like anymore drinks or asked to see if food was OK, which is basic service in a restaurant/eatery. Also noticed that the manager of the store spoke terribly to the younger staff.

Definitely wouldn't recommend a visit as there are much better places to go in the area.

Also accessibility is not great for people with mobility issues or...

First timer at this eatery and initially first impressions were positive. Food was pleasant but nothing to write home about. My husband was given Jasmine Tea when he had ordered Green Tea but we let that go as life had been particularly hectic that day and we had neither the wherewithal or desire to point that out. What really took the biscuit was the the fact my can of coke had £2.50 against it on the bill, whereas on the menu it was marked as £2! On questioning this , I was curtly told that new menu’s were on order but hadn’t arrived, the manner of the waitress reflected the idea that there is no way you are getting your 50p back so don’t ask? Just think, 50p not earth shattering but every 100 cans sold steals an extra £50 from the customers! Won’t be back! Weights and Measures would have...
