Came to try out as a Christmas gift for my mother. My granddaughter had the childrenās afternoon tea which was good. My daughter had chicken and bacon sandwich on brown bread. She said it was good but pricey for what it was. I had the tomato and herb soup which was tepid but tasty. Brown bread and butter didnāt arrive until Iād finished and that was after reminding them I was waiting for it. Never did get the pepper. Disappointing. Been finished for over 20 minutes. No one has came near to clear up. Hopefully get the coffee and cake I want but not holding my breath. Wonāt be back - shame really as could be good. Service badly...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreI came as party of 8. When they say hidden teahouse they weren't joking, I thought I was going the wrong way ha ha, small but comfortable, we all ordered the mini tea, which came with 3 sandwiches, a scone with jam and cream and a pot of tea, the different tea pots were beautiful. The food was delicious, can't wait to go back again, staff very friendly, reasonably priced. I've told my 12 year old daughter and she wants to come with me next time, they also have a great selection of cakes but I was too full from mini tea to try a cake but I will be doing next time. Highly recommended this lovely local tea room, Well done to all...

Food, when we finally got it, was tasty unfortunately by the time we did get it the tea was already cold & I had to go and ask when we would be getting our order. We were placated with an apology at that point (apparently lots of afternoon teas being ordered!) But the woman at the next table who'd arrived after we'd placed our order received her food before us!?!....'how long does a cheese toasty take š¤' was my thought.
Not sure ill be back, could just have been a one off but disappointing as previous visits...
