My Dad and New Mum had the 1st wedding ceremony to be held in The Royal Hotel including meal and reception package and omg it was absolutely amazing from the night before to the end of the post wedding breakfast. The staff are amazing, attentive and catered for our every need, the Function Room was transformed into a beautiful intimate wedding venue for 22 of our immediate family, with an amazing wedding meal picked by the bride and groom and then onto the evening celebrations with their local singer Cathrine Thomson and resident DJ Byron. The hotel rooms are well kept and maintained to an excellent standard. I just had a lovely stay at the royal hotel, the staff were friendly outgoing and helpful.

My room was ready early and from the moment you open the door, the room is lovely from top to bottom very clean and homely with a kettle, refreshments, TV, en suite bathroom with sliding shower and a place for clothes and electrical appliances.

They ensure you know how to use the keys system which is great security and peace of mind.

Your order for breakfast is taken in preparation for the next day and time you wish with a lovely table prepared in the morning with friendly staff there to assist all they way and always with a smile.

Restaurant and bar available down stairs for great convience.

The staff were extraordinary kind and helpful and ready to have a conversation and see how you and your day is going.

Overall 5 star service from start to finish and will definitely be staying again.

Highly reccomend! Stopped here for a spot of lunch with my baby. We're passing through from Glasgow. Our server (wish I got your name!) Was amazing. So accommodating. Turned the TV off for my baby without me even asking. Checked up on our food and was there instantly with fresh drinks when needed. Food was SO lovely. I mentioned that I occasionally pass through and stop in for food if my baby is settled for long enough. He gave us a card if passing through again and to phone to place our order so that the food is ready upon arrival so that I have enough time to eat while my baby is settled. Then he also noticed I was carrying a car seat and let me go out the back door as it was closer to my car and also said I could park there next time if it was eaiser for me. Best service I have had.
