£11 for 2 undercooked bacon rolls & a can of warm Diet Coke. Very disappointed as the cafe looked good and seemed popular. Managed 2 bites of the first roll before deciding to leave them on the table. Apparently they can’t do crispy bacon as they do it in an oven?… but these tasted completely undercooked. The other food looked decent enough, they just shouldn’t be offering breakfast rolls if they don’t have the facilities to cook them properly.

Tea served in a teapot as it should be and a good latte. The raspberry and white chocolate bread pudding was served hot with ice cream and was just wonderful. We've never had anything like it before. Delicious! Incidentally, although we didn't have them, we noticed that the chocolate truffles at the Dornoch Patisserie and Cafe are twice the size of those served at the Courthouse, so you get far more for your money!

Popped in for coffee and cakes and couldn't fault the experience. Staff were lovely and the coffee and cakes were great. The cafe is cosy and the facilities are perfectly fine.

Walked in and before I could speak was told they weren't serving by two young girls. I took it they were closing up for the day This was at 3 o clock on a Sunday afternoon. I said ok and left. There was a couple sitting at a table outside waiting to be served. They obviously overheard and the man went inside to query. We went elsewhere for our coffee. But as we turned our car and passed this couple were sitting outside having coffee and cake! Perhaps instead of starting the opening conversation with a negative ,ask what the customer requires first. I think to be fair the girls assumed I was looking for lunch ,all we wanted was coffee. A misunderstanding, but a lost customer. Pity,as it...

A very wet day welcomed us to Dornach, with the rain driving down and making our visit less than we had hoped.

But sanctuary was found in this cafe, just off the main square. Although full already, we were accommodated with a smile and the food, which was freshly prepared was very tasty and warmed our spirits.

By the time we exited, refreshed, the rain had slowed a little but by now our chariot awaited to whisk us on our way.

We will return to Dornach and when we do, we will seek out refreshment at the...
