I went into this place today for my lunch with my son. I was very disappointed by the service and the prices. I asked for a toastie and got a normal sandwich, which I could have had at my work. When I said to the assistant she said, well the lady that took my order didn’t write that down. I felt that wasn’t the right thing to say to a customer as it wasn’t my fault, she offered to toastie my sandwich which was cut into 4 triangles but to be honest I was on my lunch and didn’t want to hang around any longer than I needed to. I felt a little disappointed if I am honest by that and also I think the prices are quite high as £5.75 for a ham and tomato sandwich is quite high compared to other places in the area. This is my third visit and it never fails to exceed my expectations, food freshly prepared, staff friendly and accommodating to our needs, this includes the service to my two dogs by offering snacks and a fresh water bowl. We had the half soup and sandwich option which was excellent in every way, My wife is vegetarian and she is always accommodated with several different options on her many visits to this cafe.
