In town visiting. Looks like an inviting lovely spot with outdoor tables and brollies. Wanted to shop 'local and independent'. However, we had a long wait and a surly, unfriendly male server was practically throwing the food onto the tables. Our pricey coronation chicken baguette was plain, tasteless and bland. No salad. No napkins. Tables not cleaned while we sat and waited. Should have got a tesco meal deal. :/

Adorable place to stop and have a pot of tea, breakfast and lunch. Lovely atmosphere, the staff are professional, helpful and friendly. The food is absolutely delicious and great prices. We went daily while we were visiting the town. Highly recommend you give it a try.

Such a quaint and cozy cafe with friendly/attentive staff and delicious food/treats. During our visit we enjoyed scones, empire biscuits, tea, coffee, soup/salad and sandwiches. Well worth a visit when in the area!

I went into this place today for my lunch with my son. I was very disappointed by the service and the prices. I asked for a toastie and got a normal sandwich, which I could have had at my work. When I said to the assistant she said, well the lady that took my order didn’t write that down. I felt that wasn’t the right thing to say to a customer as it wasn’t my fault, she offered to toastie my sandwich which was cut into 4 triangles but to be honest I was on my lunch and didn’t want to hang around any longer than I needed to. I felt a little disappointed if I am honest by that and also I think the prices are quite high as £5.75 for a ham and tomato sandwich is quite high compared to other places in the area. Sorry to write this but disappointed as this use to be a great wee...

Well, where do I start. This cafe is probably one of the nicest places I have visited during my well travelled life. This is my third visit and it never fails to exceed my expectations, food freshly prepared, staff friendly and accommodating to our needs, this includes the service to my two dogs by offering snacks and a fresh water bowl. We had the half soup and sandwich option which was excellent in every way, My wife is vegetarian and she is always accommodated with several different options on her many visits to this cafe. Very satisfied customers and is now our go to venue to start our day, leaving with a broadened smile to prepare for the...

We had visited Lanark intending to have a bite to eat in the lovely Hidden Courtyard just across the road, but that was closed so we popped in here for breakfast which came in great choices salmon, soda scones, tattie scones, sausage etc. Absolutely lovely and well cooked, not drippng in fat. Coffee and tea also great. There is the option to sit outside. On second visit we sat outside and had a tuna sandwich and egg mayo again very nice but it's better inside with proper cutlery and plates rather than a...
