A really good pub, but if your having a party, book somewhere else! Booked for my sisters 30th, and altho the staff were great, whoever the dj is should be replaced. Said he ‘wasnt well’ and proceeded to either sit with his head on the decks, or sit in bar area. We met him while viewing room, and after saying ‘no problem’ and as he wasnt a rock fan and ‘would get someone else to do it’ as was more a ‘cheesy song dj’, and he hated when folk dont ask for songs, we sent a list of specific songs for the birthday girl, one being her ‘last dance song’ and another being her and her fiances special song, to make sure the dj had it and it got played. We were told at 10:30PM!!! he didnt have her song as he only had spotify! (We found it no problem!!!) He played the last song at 11:40pm after being told party would be until midnight, then made a VERY quick exit before we could say anything! The bar staff said would pass it to management but tbh his whole attitude was offputting and found that hardly anyone got up to dance, and were making comments if he was ‘alive’. The fact that pub maybe had about 10-15 folk on drinking, made the party the main source of income that night! Really disappointing and after being big fans of pub, wont be considering the function room for any future events, and would not recommend it to...

The place itself is fine, drinks great and food is good. Much of the staff is great however the manager is quite happy to pick and choose who is allowed to be there. I have been going to the pub with friends and family for years. However, on this occasion the manager, who is not very kind to many of the customers, refused to serve my friends alcohol since they were at a table with me. I was not drinking, i don't drink alcohol so don't take my ID with me and I hadn't even had a glass of water, let alone alcohol. I explained that I had not been drinking and did not plan on drinking, I was also with my older brother who also explained this. There were lots of kids in with their drunk family members, who were having sips of beer here and there. But I can't sit at a table and enjoy a night with my friends, alcohol free, unless I have ID? It was obvious I wasn't drinking, I hadn't been within a foot of a glass, and some of the wait staff were also unhappy about this as they agreed it was unreasonable. Safe to say I won't be back as apparently you can't be there at 8oclock with your brother if you aren't a kid or a drunk parent without an ID 🤷🏽‍♀️...

Went for family get together to Lanark to see the Christmas market and light switch on. Six adult women all who have medical conditions (some severe although not visible) As soon as we walked in the door the female manager for some reason took an instant dislike to us. All we wanted was a rest and something to eat to take medication. She told us the food was stopped. I asked for how long and she said she didn’t know. I said we’d wait By this time a queue in the middle of the floor was beginning behind us. I asked the girl behind the bar to help us and she said ‘are you the one that was turned away’ I was not aware that I had been ‘turned away’ I wear a hearing aid although again you wouldn’t know. If that manager at any time had said to our party there were more tables in a hidden annexe this would never have happened. We were mortified. We thought we were waiting to be seated. I have given the place two stars because when it did get served to us it was delicious. We ended up having a lovely afternoon there looked after by all the lovely...

Food was absolutely tasteless. Had macaroni cheese which had no flavour whatsoever and the bits of cheese on the top was like rubber. Had " bruschetta" which was one bit of bread with chunky chopped onions and peppers on top with no dressing or garlic. The veg in the salad was diced smaller than what was on top of the bread, also had no flavour, only thing I actually tasted was the burnt bread at the sides. Wether spoons make their food in a microwave and it is still better than this place by MILES. Also quite rude staff and not very welcoming or informative. Would give 0 stars if i could

The venue is really nice—spacious, light, and airy. To start, we had the Buffalo Tenders. Juicy and nicely prepared. The Baggies Bon Bons were lovely too, served with a tasty side of garlic mayo. I understand Kevin’s owned the space for about a year now. He’s got something special going on here, and we genuinely wish him all the success for many years to come. For mains, we both went for the Mac and Cheese with a side of chips. Piping hot and absolutely magic. Staff were attentive and friendly throughout. Definitely recommend this wee spot for a quick bite to eat!

Popped in for dinner. As the Inn had only recently reopened we had some reservations. There was no need, the food, for a mid week date night treat, was lovely, fresh ingredients and piping hot. Sadly there wasn't many people in which meant the atmosphere was a little lacking. Service was good, there was one guy front of house doing a fab job. Only criticism, the coffee, wasn't the best perhaps a better bean or more specialist training needed. Other than that thoroughly enjoyed the time spent. We will be back.
