The Ballencrieff — Restaurant in Scotland

We had the pleasure of being served today by Aimee & Debbie. Both delightful cheery girls. We had lunch, (pics on my niece’s phone though, sorry) and drinks. Both our meals were delicious and the sweet, 👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻that was worth dying for 🥰 . Sinead was driving so on the non-alcoholic cider but her old Aunt (moi) was enjoying the lusciously, fruity Rhubarb & Ginger Gin - the added mixed fruits were a fab addition to this drink in particular and a brilliant price for the ‘bowl’. The table/booth we were sitting at was spotless as was the ladies loo. Plenty soap in the dispensers and hand sanitiser aplenty upon entry and exit. We visit once a month or so on days off, and always greeted with warm, polite, friendly staff. But extra thanks to Aimee & Debbie today (6th April) for making my birthday from my niece that little bit extra special. Thanks girls. We’ll be back soon. (Top up on those mixed fruits, lol 😋). Went last night about half 6 for a meal just me and my partner and ordered two burger meals just after arriving. Wasn’t very busy for a Friday night so thought we would have food pretty quickly. Was just after 7 when my partner went to ask how long our food would be and the girl working who had just started went to look and brought what she thought was our food but was for a table next to us so she went looking again... only this time she came back with someone else’s food. My partner took tomatoes off his burger when we then realised this wasn’t our order either so told the waitress again who then took that burger took another table. They didn’t make that customers order again just gave them a burger someone had been picking at. Eventually we got our order and it was slightly burnt and wasn’t very good. We then had to rush as we had plans for 7.30 and our food arrived about 7.10. Overall we had been given 2 wrong orders before ours and it was a mediocre meal. My daughter and her friend (18 + 17) went for a meal and were treated appallingly! Certain staff members need to go on an intensive customer care course. Girls were ID which is fair enough. They stated that they weren't looking to drink alcohol they were just there for food. Shortly after a female member of staff approached the girls at their table demanding ID they informed her that her colleague had already spoken to them but she was having none of it and asked their ages again. Then proceeded to call my daughter a lliar saying that my daughter said she was 18 my daughter pointed out to her that her ID clearly stated she was 17 so why would she lie. Staff member said you better be out before 8 to which the girls said yeah we know that's why we booked our table for 6.15. This was all over heard by a couple who were also appalled at how the girls were treated. You should be ashamed of yourself treating...
