Urban Cocktail Kitchen — Restaurant in Scotland

Went for lunch today was a shambles from start to finish only two young members of staff on had to wait 20 minutes for a drink as they had to go and get ice to make a cocktail this wasn't at opening time it was 20 past 1 ordered food it came quite quick but we had no cutlery asked for it but had to wait till the wee waiter had served a big table by the time we got cutlery food was cold asked staff to get it reheated came back as cold as it went in a poor second visit since change of management how can they have no clean cutlery had to wait for it to get cleaned told the manager and all he said was sorry I just got here myself...

Booking made for food and drinks for five people for Hogmanay on 3 December. Received email on 30 December checking that we would still be attending which was confirmed. Arrived to be told that the kitchen was closed - no explanation given. There was no one in the place - says it all. The Balencrieff next door were thankfully able to accommodate us. Give Urban Cocktail Kitchen a miss - I won't be back. Update: A polite but factual comment I made on their FB post about them being closed until 10 January due to 'unforseen circumstances' was removed twice then I was blocked! Way to run...

Came in with some pals for a bite to eat and some drinks Very reasonably priced, decent portions of food and the food was so good. The athmosphere was spot on. Service was grand never an empty glass on the table and the wait for food wasn’t long at all.
