The Cafe Royal — Restaurant in Scotland

This was the message sent to the cafe royal after a very disappointing service from them tonight

Evening. We placed an order with you tonight to be delivered at 17.45 to 20 hill end gardens which was then moved to 18.15 which I was informed about by email, in my opinion if you felt the need to change my delivery to 30mins later then a call instead of email would have been more appropriate, my food then wasnt actually delivered until 18.45.. 30 minutes late! Our food wasnt even warm and the cheesecake is frozen again! This is the 3rd slice of cheesecake that has been bought with yous and all being frozen on arrival. The knock on effect of your incompetence is 3 over tired children having their tea way later than what I had originally booked with yous. The whole point of a delivery slot in my eyes is so you know when your food will arrive and I atleast expect it to hot when it arrives 1hour late. Terrible service tonight

To which they then responded Hello. We have received you message. We always take complaints very seriously however on this occasion, I’m not even going to entertain your complaint as we do not accept abuse. Then I was blocked before I could respond

I dont think in anyway I was in the wrong to complain nor abusive towards them. I am a loyal customer that orders from their chippy regularly and would expect a better service or atleast a decent apology and reason but none were met... appalling service and even worse attitude coming from a place and people that thinks of themselves so highly and apparently pride themselves in their job....

Hi my Annanites, surrounding townsfolk and visiting tourists. You can be assured of the best quality freshly caught fish and an array of other top class gourmet dishes from this long established family run business. Since I was a young laddie the recipe for the success of this fish and chip shop/café has been nurtured and grown by the Pagani family slap bang in the centre of this Royal Borough. It had previously been Halberts Pie shop, my father talked about this as he was brought up close by in Shanklins Court. The special taste of the "Fish Supper" has never altered in all the years I've bought them. Pleasant and friendly staff, rather nice café, high standard restaurant upstairs even Rabbie Burns wrote a poem in the building "The Deil's Awa Wi Th' Exciseman". What more can you say - LOADS - but I will finish by saying a big up to John, Michael, Emelio, Zepha and Staff and any others who help in this Aaward Winning Fish...

Just had the worst experience in this restaurant if you could call it a restaurant (fish bar) asked for a smoked sausage supper and my friend asked for a breaded haddock supper waited and the fish came battered and I get a Ordinary sausage so Basically the football order was wrong the lady took it back to get it changed then said there was a price increase after already waiting 45 minutes I said I wasn’t willing to pay the extra £2.45 which I thought was outrageous after they were the one who got the order wrong then the manager came Violently with his chest stockout asked us to pay on leave I couldn’t believe what I was hearing so we left and I will not be returning I was a regular customer at the royal hope you see this and think again next time you are talking to...
