We had planned to eat at another restaurant in town but found there was no table available and it struck us as a bit trendy for us anyway. So we walked to The Black Watch and enjoyed a delicious meal in the Croft Restaurant. We were seated quickly and two staff members took care of our drink and food needs. As the place filled up, those who did not have reservations were treated politely and told they could go to the pub next door to wait for a table to open--while that sounds like a normal response, we found many places in Scotland just turned people away. Seems like covid rules don't apply here. Also several other tables came in wearing masks and left, not wearing masks, suspect due to staff not bothering.
