I would go out of my way to eat here. This is a prime example of a good eatery. The staff are pleasantly attentive without overcrowding you, genuinely couldn't be nicer. But most important the food is good, trust me when I say I am not easily pleased when it comes to food and all three of us were delighted, including my 10year old. Even I snuck some of her pizza and quite frankly I usually find the kids food to be bland. I can not fault one part of it, everything was seasoned beautifully. The pizza sauce tasted like what tomato pizza sauce should be, everywhere. I can't tell you what the burger was seasoned with but it is a burger worth trying, it was so flavoursome and not charred to a black coal. The cajun chicken was succulent and tasty with out being overly spicy. The burger bun and ciabatta were nicely grilled to add crunch. Coleslaw not overpowering mayo and onion glop, though different (in a splendid way) it was a nice fresh side that lifted the meal. Even the soda water and lime was good, you could actually taste the lime but without drawing your cheeks together. Believe me when that creme brulee came out and we fought for a try we each wished we'd ordered one even though we wouldn't have had the room in our stomachs. Smart 10 year old picked that one and she loved the tea set. Good food, good ambiance can't beat it. Best of all not a single leaf of rocket in sight, good to know there are places out there that know there are other lettuce leaves. I wish I lived closer but like I said worth the drive.

Update: I drove 40mins out of my way just to go for lunch here. It was my second visit and it was...

Started off okay. Girls were welcoming. We got two beers and sat at the window. I've been a bar manager for seven years and noticed the lager was flat, approached the bar and I simply said 'I think the gas may need changed'. The 'bartender' ignored me, and poured another beer. 'that should be fine, it gets changed all the time'. I reluctantly took the beer and returned to my seat. My girlfriend convinced me to stay for food after this hostile start to our dinner. Once our table was ready we walked up to the hosting desk, luckily for us the 'bartender' was first to approach us. He looked my girlfriend up and down (she had no input to our earlier dispute about the CO2 levels) and reluctantly took us to our table. My partner felt intimated and belittled. We have both worked in hospitality for more than six years each and I would be embarrassed if any member of staff behaved in the way he did. The waitresses were very accommodating and the food was excellent which was a godsend considering our initial opinions of the venue. You need to have a manager on site at all times, there was no music and the way the bartender spoke to us was unnacceptable. I hope you take this into account as the venue itself is beautiful and the food was aswell. We'd have spent a lot more if the service had been a bit...

All fur coat and no knickers! Very average food. One of the waitresses spilt an entire drink on a member of our party who then had to sit eating her over cooked dinner soaking wet and uncomfortable. The scotch egg was dry and so overcooked it could have been mistaken for a billiard ball. The olives were clearly from a jar and not fresh. The humus resembled wet sand and was equally as dry. The pesto resembled algae and was inedible. However, the pizza and burger was delicious! At the end of our meal, we received the bill in full with zero recognition for the earlier spillage as well as being charged for the spilt drink! We understand accidents do happen, however, this situation could have been diffused and managed in a much better manner, much sooner. We had to address this ourselves and were then insulted with an offer of 5% discount...shocking! We challenged this and asked to speak with the manager, who to his credit was extremely apologetic and hadn't been informed of the mishap by his staff. We were offered a bottle of prosecco and a 30% discount from our bill, which we felt was acceptable. Unfortunately, we will not be returning based on our experience and can...

This place is ok-ish. Yes, the food was tasty and nicely presented, although way overpriced. Calzone was burned in places and judging by other reviews so were other dishes. I don't mind well cooked dish, but not so keen on having it incinerated. Not a great choice for vegetarians. When we were in, there was a female and male serving folk. Female was openly rude towards the male. She was ok towards us and others but the guy was much nicer. She should have left her problems outside the door or at least not talk to him in front of everyone else. All that put me off coming back there. Place itself is bright and open with separate tables by the window if you're looking just for a tea or coffee. Too expensive for what it is.

Very cute and relaxing restaurant. The waiter was very bubbly, accommodating and kind. The food was brought out quickly. I got the vegan stew which was tasty, but lacked a little seasoning. My boyfriend got the venison and black pudding burger which was extremely delicious but said it was a little heavy. We also got the warm bread starter which I highly recommend as the fresh pesto and hummus were absolutely delicious!! Unfortunately the pizza oven was broken so our choice was extremely limited, but we were still happy! The atmosphere was very cosy and comfortable. Thank you
