My lamb was perfection, followed by the beef, which fell apart when I showed it my fork! It was historic. I finished with the cheese and only because I'm a cheddar-aholic did I find the portion just a little wee. However, what I had was just lovely. My friends thoroughly enjoyed the bisque, the beef and the pasta. The apple tart and rosemary ice cream was also well received. My other friend thinks he may have enjoyed the coconut rice pudding if it had been warm. As it was, he almost took the pattern off the plate. Really disappointed about lunch today - menu had changed (that’s okay, it’s seasonal and availability), but no alternatives provided, so only two choices rather than three for both starters and desserts. Roast tomato soup was insipid, no bread accompaniment apart from welcome slice which was very dry. Huge portion of salmon! But £3 supplement. Chicken was tasty, but small portion. This is a superb place to have a meal. Stunning outlook with beautiful views. Very upbeat, welcoming, friendly, professional service. Delicious food, beautifully presented. Extremely good value.
