Delicious meal at Chillies - a well-established family-run restaurant. We started with hot freshly-prepared crispy papadoms and home-made dips; followed by onion bhaji appetisers. For our main we had Balti Jeera Lamb (garnished with fresh green chillies at my request), served with pilau rice; alongside a butter chicken and large buttered naan. All dishes were served piping hot and were freshly prepared. A hot plate on the table kept the food warm throughout. Lito, his wife and team are great hosts. Lito is happy to recommend specials and adjust curries to suit your taste. I'll certainly return to sample other dishes from a full and varied menu. All in all an enjoyable evening and highly recommended.

After a 20 minutes drive to get there a 50i minute wait and a 20 minute drive to get back. The food was awful. The mixed pakora was frazzled to like it had been refried about 20 times, the Peshwari nan was burnt beyond belief, the veg in the veg balti was just frozen peas, carrots and sweetcorn, the mushroom biryani was so greasy there was a pool at the bottom of the container.... Needles to say it went in the bin. In my honest opinion my experience of chillies Aberfeldy was terrible... it seems like because you were a tourist they just fobbed you off with beyond sub standard food. I would not go back here... If you do go check your takeaway order before you leave

Recommended to visit and arrived on Saturday night at 5.00 pm with no requirement to book a table for two. Ordered Chicken Tikka Masala, King Prawn Korma with plain nan bread and Pilau Rice. The King Prawns did not look like typical King Prawns. They fish was long and curled. Although edible was chewy. The Korma sauce tasted much more of coconut than expected. The Tikka Masala was delicious. The nan bread was good. The Restaurant and takeaway were very busy. The feeling of the takeaway was more attended to than the restaurant. Had to ask for bill at the takeaway counter but all in all it was an acceptable meal with average service.

Got a takeaway from here whilst visiting Aberfeldy and I can honestly say this was the worst food I've ever had. I used to work in an Asian food wholesaler and visited many establishments. The poppadoms tasted of burnt oil. The spiced onions came in a bag that looked like minced beef. The chicken pakora was dry and over cooked, I'm not sure how old it was. The salad to go with the pakora was wilted and brown in the bag. The curry had a strange taste to it and the pilau rice was very wet and had something slimy and green mixed through it, possibly onion but it was so hard to tell. The garlic nan was dry and tough as old boots. Possibly made the day before. Biggest waste of almost £30...
