I'm not going to bury the lede here, my favourite thing about any Tim Horton's is the French Vanilla, which is a sumptuous drink that is apparently somehow distantly related to coffee. That alone is worth five stars.

I've visited Tim Horton's in Ayr a few times with friends to get coffee and something to eat. They do a good range of hot and cold beverages. There's a decent smattering of cakes and donuts. They also do snacks such as wraps and toasties; not to my taste necessarily but some of my friends do enjoy them.

The place is always clean, and it's big enough you can usually get somewhere to sit.

The only real drawback of the place in Ayr is its location. Squeezed into a small retail park just off the Ayr bypass, and between two main trunk routes in and out of town, neither the look of the building from the outside nor the view from the inside looking out are particularly attractive. I suppose the benefit of the location is that it would be easy and quick to drop in from the bypass on the way somewhere else. If you do this, be sure to come off the roundabout onto the Prestwick road, it's easier to get into the retail park this way.

And be sure to try the...

Hey all ! Back for another review !

Can’t praise the staff enough at Tim Hortons ! There’s a special member of staff I’d like to praise ! His name is Tam and he is one hard and dedicated worker and for a customer to notice that is one definitely good thing !

Love Tim hortons and love the atmosphere, I go for Tim Hortons, but I stay for Tam !

And to be honest most of the staff are super friendly and very accommodating.

Of course I’m biased as Tam always gives me my oat milk in my drinks cause he pays attention to detail and very good work ethic such discipline and I could not think of a better way to promote this place.

See if yous are lucky enough to get him to serve you, yous are all in for a great treat, smiles and jokes all round and perfection in service. 5 stars if there is were infinity stars he should be getting them and all !

Valeska - Been a while since my last review but just figured this was worth mentioning !!

Well done guys at...

Not gonna beat about the bush here, this place is SHOCKINGLY bad!! Went in yesterday whilst out for a wee drive to the coast, passed by and decided to try Tim Hortons as we'd been hearing lots about it!! Wish we didn't bother, walked in to the ;ace and didn't appear to be any staff in fact we wondered if the place was open as shelfs were also half empty. Anyway left standing for 5 minutes then a young girl came out and said be with you in a minute!! Now don't know how long her minutes are but after 10 minutes standing we decided just t leave and frmly believe she still thinks we are standing there lol Do urself a favour theres a costa 2 minutes...

Nice little area, and friendly staff - including a fellow Canadian working there! Now, one complaint from the Mrs is the tea wasn't Tim Hortons orange pekoe (or any Tim Hortons brand tea whatsoever) - it was a Tetley brand. Unfortunately that's not on; especially after driving for days on a trip, only to be served a tea we could easily pick up at Tesco or Asda. The coffee was good, and it did the trick. There was some redemption on the second trip, where her French Vanilla was up to snuff. We will visit there one more time before heading home.

I got a toastie that was well filled but unevenly toasted and worse although collected immediately when called it was damp with condensation from it's wrapping and the coffee was VERY hot 🥵, so much so it was undrinkable untill well after the food would be finished. More worrying is the cleanliness everything looks "ok" but when I moved the table it's obviously never been cleaned and it's the same with every table we had... And every seat is very heavily stained 🤢 on the way out the kitchen door was open... It made inside look good

BETTER THAN MCDONALDS. We had breakfast here yesterday, it was my first time. You could say I popped my Tim Hortons Cherry. I had the Big Breakfast Wrap (similar to the Breakfast Wrap at McDonalds) and it was lovely. Not greasy, tasted fresh. And only £2.99 (cheaper than McDonalds) including a coffee and a Hash Brown on the side. But what topped off for us was how great the staff were. The lady was very attentive, helpful and friendly. The food came quickly and it was hot and fresh. Would definitely return.
