Very mixed feelings about here and it is mostly down to the manager unfortunately. We asked for a booking at 8pm on a Saturday night, and was told it would have to be 8:30pm. Ok, that's good, it must be busy... When we arrived there were 4 people in the restaurant split between 2 tables, and around 15 tables empty. We decided to stay against the wishes of 2 of the group. The young waiter we had was amazing, very patient and chatty. What annoyed us was the manager was over looking every interaction we had, and basically grilling the waiter on what we said, "what happened there?" etc. We ordered the food, which was ok. Nothing great. The antipasto meat and olives were somehow tasteless, but the rest was ok. The tiramisu was no better than you would get Morrisons frozen section. When we finished our meal, one of the party asked the manager why we couldn't get our requested booking time. We were told that they had a couple of cancellations. He said that it only allows them to book a certain amount at each time and he had no control over it. The original waiter said they had had a quiet day, so we didn't know who to believe. The micro-managing manager, or the young staff member? Anyway, we won't be back as the manager's attitude was not what you would expect, and how a restaurant with ~20 tables can't handle 5 bookings at 8pm on a Saturday night I'll never know. It's a shame, but there are plenty of other options in...

Vito’s is a great little Italian restaurant in Prestwick. We tried to go earlier in the week but they were solidly booked, the golf crowds I’m sure. One evening they accommodated us late in the night, for which we are grateful. They were very supportive of us dining with a three year old in tow, and ensured his food came out fast. The meal was 11£ for two courses so we got the tempura chicken, which was good because it was actually quality chicken. Our son really wanted to go back a day later. He got ice cream too. We really enjoyed their tasty minestrone soup with bread, penne amatriciana and the sea bass was outstanding. This was beautifully cooked and came with potatoes and grilled vegetables. Staff were very efficient...

Walked past this wee gem several times and for the first time decided to pop in for lunch. Cannot sing the praises of the staff highly enough, very accommodating, took the time to ensure my six year old daughter was entertained and well fed. A challenging task at the best of times! Food was excellent, albeit fairly standard Italian crowd pleasers, especially the parma ham starter. Great value and atmosphere. Will definitely be back soon. Went back this afternoon, some years later than earlier review, tis still amazing 😊👌👍 a must on P'wick...

Luckily for me pizza hut has moved out of Ayrshire. We visited Vito's because it was my son's birthday, he wanted to go to pizza hut for the ice-cream machine, not the food!! After driving across Ayrshire we stumbled across Vito's, I loved the decor, service and the price. The goats cheese pizza was too busy, less is more in this case, couldn't taste the individual components due to the abundance of all of them. This is being a tad harsh as I'd happily eat there again. Hopefully Pizza hut never return to Ayrshire!!!

Had lunch here on Saturday afternoon and it was fantastic! We had no problem booking a table and they were very accommodating when we needed to change the time. We both had a starter and main from the 2 course menu, I would have loved to try one of the desserts, but I was too full! The girl serving us was really friendly and the decor was really nice too.
