Cicchetti Crosby — Restaurant in Sefton

Went for a 30th, table of ten. Was one of the worst meals/service I have had for a while.

We got there at 7 and it took 35 mins to get our first drink, by 9:30 we had just about finished our food and managed to order our second and last round of drinks. It was only our table and 2 other people in there. The staff seemed stressed and in the kitchen a lot.

I ordered mussels and prawn pasta, my pasta never arrived and when I realised it wasn’t coming I didn’t want to ask for it as was worried what the wait would be like and the kitchen looked shut. I ended up getting a takeaway on the way home.

We were asked if the birthday girl wanted a dessert and candle, we said yes and waited 30 mins for this to arrive in an empty restaurant. This was then added to the final bill. One person ordered a cocktail, it was knocked over slightly when brought to the table, the server Apologised and said they’d bring another one. the extra cocktail was added to the final bill.

The girl who served us was friendly and kept apologising for the wait when bringing the food over.

It’s a shame as I really like cantinetta, never had a bad there. Will Definitely not...

We have been to the Cantinetta on Moor Lane so we thought we would give this a try for breakfast and we were not disappointed. The food was lovely and I would never have thought of having spinach for breakfast but it really did go well with the eggs. My husband had bacon,avocado, scrambled eggs parmesan and sourdough bread. He said it was delicious. We will be back to try the "small plates" at another time. Highly...

Really disappointing. Ordered the mushroom pasta but was told they didn't have it so guessing it must all be bought in instead of made fresh.

Ordered bread and olives for 3 and came with 4 small slices of bread which doesn't make a lot of sense for 3 people.

Food was bland and penne was just dry pasta boiled when you'd expect fresh.

Service was ok but felt like it's pretty much style over...
