McDonald's — Restaurant in Sefton

I called here at 7.15pm this evening ( Tuesday, 16th November). What on Earth is going on? The girl to whom I gave my order,in the drivethru, seemed unable to understand what I-was asking for- 2 hamburgers, one regular fries, a banana milk shake and an apple pie. I drove on to the serving window, repeated my order, emphasising. ONE regular fries, . She passed me My milk shake, then two or three members of staff seemed to be unsure of what they were doing! One young man asked me to drive to the next window, whichI did. No one was there. I waited, whilst four cars following me in the queue received their orders, and then drove past me. I had to leave my car, return to the serving window, and ask for my order. I was asked to repeat my order, and was told there was no apple pie. I replied “ok”, then was given my order, which I drove home with. NO RECEIPT. No drinking-straw for the milk shake, TWO large fries (I can’t eat a full regular size, let alone two large! I telephoned the store, and spoke to a very young-sounding girl, who said she was the manager. She was pleasant, and gave me the phone number of Macdonalds H. O., but she certainly didn’t sound experienced in her role! Most of all,I am angry tohavepaid for extra fries, which I threw away, and have no idea how much my bill was!...

Be careful how long you stay here, I was fined £50 because I stayed over 90mins. it was a sunday morning and we had a quiet breakfast there until Tesco store opened. There are warnings in the car park but I didn't notice them (the world is full of signs). They have games out for the kids to play and charging points for your phone even power points so you can plug in your laptop. But don't get too cosy, keep an eye on your watch - they don't want you there - or maybe they do to supplement their profits with the fines. Do you want fries with that. I won't be going there again. The fine was totally disproportionate to the offence - that's what it was, an offence - I outstayed my welcome - fine. This could be understood if the restaurant was near a town centre but it isn't, there is no reason to park there unless you're staying at McDonalds. So if you go - don't linger. Update Jan 2025. I have returned to this McDonald's and forgot how bad it is for the loud and terrible music, it's not background, atmospheric or conducive to conversation. This is my favourite McDonald's. I would rather travel to this one than go to my more local one as I much prefer it. However, it unfortunately seems to be going downhill. The last few times we've been, we've had a fair wait for the food. The most recent time it seemed fairly quiet in the restaurant however we waited nearly 20 minutes for our food (two meals). They missed one item off so I had to get up and ask a member of staff. I'm also fairly certain that the full fat coke I ordered the last two times has been either diet or zero because it definitely didn't taste like normal coke. The chips are often just lukewarm. We then waited over 20 minutes just for one of the kids McFreezy's.

I can't fault the staff in general though. They're absolutely lovely. Always welcoming, always friendly and chatty, always talk to us, always helpful. I just don't understand what's changed the last few weeks for the service to have got slower and the food to not be as nice. We eat here regularly and have never had an...
