I have been here a few times and the food has always been lovely. This visit was really disappointing. We ordered English breakfasts and they were not even “just ok”. The poached eggs were all hard boiled, 6 of them! There was a teaspoon of beans. The potatoes weren’t fresh and the toast tasted like vinegar, which I assume was off the poached egg. When the member of staff collected our plates she commented on how we hadn’t ate much, so we told her why. Now, this is why I have given 1 star. At that point, it would have been nice for the bill to be discounted, or to even be offered another round of coffee on the house. For that reason, I wouldn’t return again. One Five Six is absolutely a must visit in College Lane. Don't forget to visit the local football Club Marines just accros the road. Kaite was amazing, this was my first visit and they were about to close. She offered me a gorgeous hot chocolat with Bayleys, I was literally freezen. The history behind comes from the owners who traveled around the Mediterranean and brought all the most amazing ideas to this little pittoresque town of Crosby. I was offered another but turned this down. Disappointingly, I was given a bill to pay for the two drinks I had!
