These guys have it nailed when it comes to Italian style pizza.

I've lived in Malta for 10 years so I know a lovely pizza when i taste one. Malta are the same as Italy when it comes to pizza and pasta, Malta know pizza! Malta would be impressed with this place!

I don't usually write reviews but I felt like these guys deserved the notice when it comes to their pizza. I even asked if the chef was Italian, and he's not!! Just spent years of his working career studying Italian cuisine and to me he should be made honourably Italian.

Great friendly staff who are very inventive so absolutely no complaints there.

Seriously if you like pizza then you should certainly check this place out. I had the capricciosa which is ham and mushroom... the ham was delicious chunks of oven cooked ham joint, not fake processed meat.

The way the bar is designed, leaves not much space for the punters to have a seat inside without hearing other punters conversations. Which I must add is not the fault of the present owner. Nibbles were handed out to couple of tables but not to mine or another gentleman's. Give it to all or don't. Pleasant service with affordable beverages for all budgets. Toilet was clean, outside area is wheelchair accessible, unfortunately inside isn't. Again, this is not the fault of the present owner. Pets are allowed in the outside seating areas....

Traveled over from Crosby with friends on Saturday night! Was well worth the trip! The food served and chosen for us by the chef Jack was incredible! Fantastic chef! The front of house staff treated us like royalty! Nothing was too much trouble! Portovino is definitely a hidden treasure of Southport and is well worth making the effort to venture out of town for! I can’t wait to return and try the Sunday roast! I’ve heard it’s the best Sunday roast around! Wish you all the success...
