In some respects this pub is a microcosm of the decine of the British bar trade. Prior to the smoking ban it was a busy,popular place and on a Sunday packed to the rafters. Went in today and although able to breathe more easily in a smoke free environment found it almost empty. It was never the most salubrious of alehouses but now the furnishings are held together with duct tape.
