GAIL's Bakery Sevenoaks — Restaurant in Sevenoaks

We visited the Sevenoaks branch for the 1st time last Monday ( 24th July), we ordered 3 cakes and 3 teas, myself and my elderly mum were given the tray of cakes and asked to go and find a table while my brother waited for the teas, then next thing he came over to us followed very quickly by one of the staff, (who was an asian lady in her 50s/60s ,very rude from the start of the service, treated you like in a cattle market, trying to rush you through) she grabbed the tray of cakes from under our noses with a disgusting look, she picked it up and swiftly walked away, all because my brother only had cash on him when he went to pay, she told him card only, he said he only had cash, she was very rude and kept saying CARD only, he repeated he only had cash, she swiftly cancelled the order on the till, said no more to him and left him standing there while she rushed over to our table to grab the tray, there was no signs anywhere in the shop that had said " card only", when we left we looked for more signs from outside, and there it was , a tiny little sign sign of about 4inch width saying " card only", a lesson learned is NEVER to enter a chain cafe and only use a small independent cafe, run by nice friendly staff who take cash!!!, Gail's really isn't a friendly place, never would I enter there again! Disgusting place and rude staff ( at least the one that served us was)! Local people need to use the better local independent cafés! ( ps, I've tried to give this place a NO star rating but it won't let me post unless I add one), so please ignore my rating of 1 star as it don't...

I went to gails bakery sevenoaks with my dad today There today I had a latte which I really enjoyed It was one of the best latte I have ever had in the whole wide world You do very lovely latte at gails bakery sevenoaks You had very lovely music playing today as always I think everyone likes coming to gails bakery sevenoaks It must be a very popular bakery in sevenoaks I can tell because it how busy it gets means it's very popular and gets lots of customers that like to come in for something to eat and drink and have a cup of tea or a latte It was so lovely coming back to gails bakery sevenoaks today I just thought it would be lovely to come back to my favourite sevenoaks bakery which is gails bakery of course It's lovely when the staff say hello to their customers when they walk in which is very lovely to see everyday The staff that work there are very kind lovely welcoming The service is super lovely and amazing I had a very lovely view of the outside and of the other cafes next door to gails bakery sevenoaks like joe and juice and shops like seasalt cornwall which I been in last time with my mum I had another very lovely experience there today at gails bakery sevenoaks with my dad This place gets another 5 out of 5 star rating by me Enjoy reading your google review by me Have a lovely rest of your day 5...

These reviews are obviously fake – the reviews on other review sites are soooo much worse - these bear no resemblance to the actual experience in store - and who goes somewhere for coffee and takes 20 photos, come on!

We went on a Saturday - no plates available for those eating-in (everything served in takeaway bags), similarly only takeaway cardboard cups available for those drinking-in, milk for pots of tea served in takeaway cardboard espresso cups – it was like going to a roadside café.

None of the empty tables were cleaned, and look at the attached photo of the ‘seat’, its absolutely disgusting – who would think this is an acceptable seat and not have done something about it?

The staff did however have time, as their shift was ending, to be packing away what must have been the food they expected to be left at the end of the day, and then to hurry off with their ill-gotten gains!

It’s beyond me why people go to this place when there are so many nice coffee shops...
