Chutney — Restaurant in Sheffield

I never ever write reviews so readers please understand that I do not post this lightly: Chutneys is impeccable. The food is genuinely the best in the area. From curry to mixed grills Chutneys nail it every time. Last night we ordered and for the first time there was a mistake, with the pilau rice missing from the order. After confirming this over the phone, Chutneys delivered the missing items within 10 minutes, resolving the issue. If you are fortunate enough to be both hungry and within the delivery area, you simply must try a Chutneys. Just be aware that wherever else you try after will sadly not live up to Chutneys. Had our Xmas meal for the first time. Had used previously and always pleased with the food and the service you get. From that point of view we were not disappointed. However, Chutney need to review their booking and table management better. On arrival for 3:30 booking, previous bookings were still there and being served food. All those with a 3:30 booking had to wait either outside or in the tiny reception area. It was a mess!! At this stage I was ready to give a 1 star rating, however once sat down the food was good and the service was very attentive. They managed to turn it round. I have only been the once and we were a party of six. But i must say that the Chicken Tikka Masala (it’s my Indian restaurant yardstick) was up there with the best i’ve had. None of the other party members had any complaints. Service was quick and prices reasonable.
