Greggs — Restaurant in Sheffield

Sign on one of the sandwiches saying ‘freshly out, preparing more now…’ Went to the till and asked the cashier when they will be ready as I’m happy to wait for one. To which she rudely responded saying there’s no sign on the sandwiches. I said yes there is and pointed it and she, again, said there’s wasn’t one. She then ‘miraculously’ saw the sign and said I had read the sign wrong and it states that the sandwiches weren’t in stock at all today (it’s 3pm) and they are back tomorrow. Bear in mind I could still see the sign in the que, in big letter stating ‘FRESH out’. Why have a sign saying just ran out if you haven’t had it all day. She proceeded to laugh in my face for my supposed ‘mistake’. Unsure of her name, but she made me quite upset and extremely embarrassed infront of many other customers as she was consistently lashing at me. ESPECIALLY because she was wrong, the sign said they were making more. Disgusting service, someone please teach this rotten teeth woman how to read signs and how to be nice...

We came in this morning and ordered a sausage roll, a sandwich which they kindly made for us and a drink. We paid and didn’t get our sausage roll, i was stood there for a while until the lady came back and i asked her she then said they were cooking some more so it’d be a wait which is totally fine, i then stood there for 15/20 minutes and they’d come out which also was fine, she then didn’t give me the sausage roll and i was stood there for 20 extra minutes when served the sausage roll i just said “hi i’ve been waiting a while for a sausage roll” she said “well i didn’t know” i don’t think we’d return to this greggs as i wasn’t treated very fairly. Also another lady who was at the front was huffing, shaking her head and rolling her eyes. I’ve had great experience with this greggs in the past but seems the staff that was on today just...

Just had an issue with a forged £20 note staff were brillant explained situation showed me why. And to top it all as it was my last note they gave me the coffee i had orderd with compliments. I could have easily gone to cash machine but they insisted and explained if I take the note to the bank they will change it. Fantastic Great of the staff to deal with this this way can't thank them enough for the way they dealt with me and the situation that unfolded.
