Lovely place to go any day of the week. Small but varied collection of animals that can be petted and fed with food from the cute little gift shop.
Its free to go in and around which is amazing!
There is an old tractor the kids can play on and a mini go karting area. They also have a couple of those little rides that you stick a quid in and they rock back and forth for a couple of minutes. Not to forget to digger which has a joystick to control the basket and the arm to move the balls around.
There is a huge park area with huge amounts of space for families to have picnic and toilets which are well kept. The park area is huge and you can easily pass an hour or two walking round the grounds and along the stream.
There is also a little land train that runs small laps around grounds (for a small fee per person) which the kids love!
The rat problem is hardly unexpected regarding the number of animals there and the amount of food that is around. Its not a huge problem but it can be a little bit surprising when you see a group of 7/8 rats running around the fields!
Good, accessible public toilets, right near the cafe and kids play area. Ice cream van on site. Parking can be difficult if you go at peak times and you may have to find a local side street to park on. If you can park on site the pay and display is very reasonably priced. I'm sure it's something like 70p for up to 2 hours? (Maybe it's 1hour?)
If you take a picnic and some lawn games then you can easily pass the whole afternoon here without spending very much at all.
Excellent place to take the kids. Would definitely recommend it and will be returning numerous times over the upcoming...
Read moreThis place used to be fantastic, but of late has gone downhill quite a lot. The play equipment feels very old now and some of it needs much repair. The farm part of it is also not worth it anymore. The selection of animals there has dropped drastically. Its mainly just chickens/sheep/goats/alpacas. I mean come on! Used to be alsorts here. And there 2021 Christmas trail for kids with included christmas gift is quite a disapointment. OK so its fair to say that we didnt expect the earth for what paid, but it all felt very old generic stuff that was given away. This please used to be brilliant. Even the giant ponds with ducks are in quite a state of disrepair. full of rubbish, overgrown and generally just look grotty. If I had to choose between Graves Park and Endcliffe Park for future visits, I would choose Endcliffe Park. I heard that there were rumours to close graves park completely at one point and have it redeveloped. Not sure if thats true, but if it is I would either recommend it to close or have a massive injection of effort put into it and bring it back up to standards it once used to be. Sorry for the damning review but this place used to be great. Its sad to see its gone downhill so much. I gave it 2 stars purely on the basis that it passed a couple of hours for us and despite the christmas trail been pretty dismal, the kids seemed to enjoy it. I wont be going back there in a hurry with them though,...
Read moreWe love to come here and have kept returning for ten years now! Parking is always a premium as it is limited but being a popular destination, it’s no wonder. The animal farm consists of sheep and their lambs, chickens, a huge shire horse, Shetland ponies, Llamas, Pygmy and more commonplace goats, cows, donkeys, pigs and more! There’s a wooden shop to buy animal food and each pen is clearly labelled with a sign stating whether or not you can feed the animals within. There are hand washing stations in a few places, hand sanitisers and a row of toilets with accessible ramps for wheelchair users should you wish to use the loo! The facilities are great and can handle a high amount of footfall so don’t let the lack of parking when busy - put you off. There is a large, open green space for events like 5k runs, fairs and shows but they are fewer and further between. Around the green space is a lovely wide tarmac path with a duck pond and row of conker trees along the waters edge (in the right season!). There’s a lovely play are for children of all ages next to the cafe behind a large rose garden which is having roof works at present. The path leads beyond and further around to a larger, second car park through a lovely walk among mature trees....
