Mr & Mrs Cod Fish & Chips — Restaurant in Sheffield

I've had many a great meal from Mr & Mrs Cod, but due to the first driver this evening accepting my order but then having his cake & eating it waiting on other orders elsewhere, was still not picked up 30 minutes after the chippy had wrapped up the order! Finally received the order after texting the original driver, coz he was ignoring calls, the order got delivered by another driver nearly 50 minutes after the chippy had wrapped it.

I might try my luck one more time with Deliveroo next time & if they can't deliver right then it'll be a shame not to place an order at this nice takeaway ever again! So, thanks to an Uber Eats driver who ruined...

Fancied an easy meal and treated myself to small fish as driving past on my way home, my Husband was out with his Club mates. Bright, clean shop interior quick service. No frills. Staff gave little if any extra chat to welcome or thank me for my business which was a shame as it’s local clients are important ? Fish was average in both flavour and quality - it did not contain large flakes of meaty fish I get from Poseidon nearby, the fish meat seemed to be more of a reconstituted form and was not outstandingly tasty or memorable. Would go again but would definitely reroute to Poseidon 13 Abbey Lane, S8...

I have no idea how this place is getting good reviews. Forgot half the order, when I contacted them to let them know the attitude I was met with was what do you want us to do about it. The jumbo sausage and chicken and mushroom pie were microwaved and cooked to an inch of their lives. The pie was so solid on the pastry and the filling wasn’t much better. The sausage was dry, after having one but I didn’t want anymore of it. There are so many better fish and chip places but I can honestly say in my 34 years I’ve never had a worse fish and chips.
