Rajdhani — Restaurant in Sheffield

We've eaten here and ordered take away previously and always enjoyed the food, but this evening it all went wrong. I pre-ordered from their website for a 6pm delivery and it never arrived. I called the restaurant and was told that I booked a collection. Strange as my receipt shows a delivery charge. Drive to the restaurant to find out that they never received my order. Was told that they use a third party for their website orders even though I had proof of order and payment on my phone they wouldn't give me any food or my money back! Just kept saying it wasn't there fault and that I have to leave a number and they'd get back to me when it was sorted. So I had no money back and no food even though I had their receipt on my phone. Tried to explain that I understood technology fails and it's not a problem but they just kept making their issue my problem with no hint of trying to fix it unless I paid again for food. They say you can tell how good a company is by how they react when something goes wrong and in this respect Rajdhani failed spectacularly! After I spoke to their boss on the phone my money suddenly appeared back in my bank but I'll never darken their doors again. Utterly terrible...

Rajdhani – A Culinary Disaster

If I could give Rajdhani zero stars, I would. This was, without a doubt, one of the worst dining experiences I’ve ever had.

The chicken curry was nothing short of revolting. The chicken had a sweaty, unpleasant stench, as if it had been through an intense workout before being thrown into the pot. The texture was just as off-putting—rubbery, tough, and utterly inedible. As for the sauce, it was an abomination. The bizarre mix of spicy seasoning and Henderson’s Relish clashed horribly, creating a concoction that tasted like a failed science experiment rather than a carefully crafted dish. It was neither rich nor flavorful—just a confused, chaotic mess.

The service was painfully slow, adding insult to injury. Despite the restaurant being far from full, the wait felt endless, and when the food finally arrived, I almost wished it hadn’t. The lack of effort and care in both the preparation and presentation was glaringly obvious.

Simply put, Rajdhani is a disgrace. The food was disgusting, the service was sluggish, and the entire experience was a complete waste of time and money. If you value your taste buds (and your stomach), stay...

Terrible, don’t bother! Poor food and poor service. Naan and poppadoms were nice, but that was all. We went when it first opened several years ago and were not impressed, but thought we’d give it another go as it’s been established for a while and seems to have decent reviews. We left half the food and weren’t going to make a fuss, but the waiter didn’t even bother to ask us if we enjoyed it which made me decide to tell him what I thought. At that point he then spilt food on my husband’s clothes as he was clearing the plates. Incidentally, my husband was actually wearing decent, smart clothes unlike most of the people in there, which are just being washed for a second time to try and get the stains out!
