It was my 80th Birthday and I wanted something a little different rather than just a party.. So my daughter booked an afternoon tea, followed by a reptile handling session.... On walking into the cafe, I was taken to my table which had been beautifully decorated. Linda was so lovely, poured me and my daughter a glass of Nosecco each. Helen who was the chef on that day, prepared the most amazing sandwich board, complete with salad and quiche. And then after that another board with scones and a lovely selection of freshly baked cakes and fresh fruit. Everything was so delicious and fresh... The reptile handling was just as amazing... I was shown into the conservatory, which is kept seperate from the cafe...I felt completely at ease with Lincoln , who was the handler... I never felt pressured to hold any of the reptiles , insects etc, (but I did, because they're all amazing) Lincoln has tremendous knowledge about all the snakes, lizards, insects and mammals. It's truly fascinating to listen to him chat about them.... My whole experience was so incredible, a birthday I will never forget.... Thankyou so much to everyone, The Cosy Chameleon and Scales...

I booked an animal handling experience in July for my birthday for a group of adults. I wasn't sure what it would be like as I felt like the staff might be used to children's parties, but it was brilliant! Lincoln was great and had loads of facts about the individual animals and the species. I learnt some new stuff and enjoyed hanging out with the animals. It is clear the staff care a lot about the animals. Lincoln even brought their own snake in for us to meet as the ones that live in the café weren't suitable to be handed on that day. They made sure everyone was comfortable with the animals and my guests had a great time.

If you ever did some adult-only bookable handling sessions I'd love...

Isaac has had an amazing birthday...thank you to everyone who joined us, both with our animal encounters and at home. Thank you to Debs and the guys at the Cosy Chameleon Cafe who made Isaac's morning. As always your staff are so welcoming, extremely knowledgeable and are happy to answer any questions. The animals were amazing and all kept the children's attention throughout (big and small). I promise I didn't pinch any, my bag wasn't big enough 😁 There were far too many amazing pictures to choose from, but here's a small selection xx We'll definitely be back to see you...
