SPICE & RICE Indian Restaurant — Restaurant in Sheffield

This is the worst curry I’ve ever had. Avoid at all costs. The place wants closing down, expensive and awful food.

I had a lamb Zeera which claimed to be (fairly hot) but was bland and tasteless. The Pilau Rice was like Couscous and clumped together like an Asdas own brand packet rice.

Chicken Tikka Naan wasn’t impressive but did the job.

To top it off we were charged £7.50 for a BOTTLE of cobra not a draft pint a BOTTLE.

2 poppadoms each for 7 people with 2 pickle trays came to £25.80 and these were probably the highlight of the meal.

The building itself is great; however, you’d expect with the prices of the food some sort of heating or even a table cloth on the table but...

Though this place did have nice food, I have been spoken to in a extremely rude and patronising way. I asked to order a chicken tikka saag, however this rude and ignorant man said to me 'love this isn't a Chinese, you don't no what saag is'.and then continued to slam the phone down. I was extremely offended by this. Not only was I spoken to rudely, I was insulted thoroughly. In addition I am half Indian and therefore have a full understanding of what saag is. Would have put 0 stars if I could have! We have ordered from here a few times and have always got what we ordered, on time and piping hot! Tonight that changed! 60 odd £ order that came over 2 hours after we ordered it, to top it off we had missing items and at best the food was warm!
