The Delightful Touch Cafe — Restaurant in Sheffield

I think I give honest and fair reviews. This lovely venue is more than a cafe. It has a relaxed atmosphere, terrific decor and very attentive staff. There is a varied menu and they make as much of the food as they are able. There are many considerations for dietary needs. The coffees were really nice too. So why only four stars? It is not particularly cheap and the food was warm rather than hot. I suppose you get used to that in many other parts of Europe and maybe I should make an allowance for this. Please do try as you will not be disappointed. I had waffle, bacon and maple syrup. It may not be everyone's choice but I enjoyed it all and it was more than enough for an early lunch. I popped in with my elderly mum recently, I'd been previously but this time we dined in.

My mum has mobility issues, so the ladies were extremely helpful in assisting getting her to a table.

It's a lovely place, they had a good selection of items on the menu & board, & some delicious looking cakes on the counter.

I just ordered a starter of potato wedges & mum had a cream cheese bagel with salmon. We didn't have to wait long, & both items were delicious. The chef came out to ensure all was ok. It was!

I am local to Hillsborough & love to see local businesses doing well.

Quite disappointed with our first visit today. The staff didn’t seem as attentive as you’d expect with such little tables in the cafe, the food took longer than you’d expect for what we ordered. If my husband and I weren’t in a rush perhaps it wouldn’t have been such a problem. I then had to ask for cutlery, after the waiter had dropped our food off and left. Shortly after I then found a small hair in my food which I could only describe as perhaps a pet hair. The experience as a whole seemed like a let down based to lack of attentiveness.
