URBAN Fresh Burgers & Fries - Sheffield — Restaurant in Sheffield

I recently visited Urban Burger and Fries’, and I have to say, it lived up to the hype. I had heard great things, but I wanted to check it out for myself—and I’m so glad I did! From the moment I walked in, the staff were friendly (which is rare to see these days), and you could tell the owners are genuinely hard-working. The place was spotless, and the food was cooked fresh. I have to highly recommend the cheese sauce for cheesy chips—absolutely delicious!

The burger itself was hands down the best I’ve had, far better than any of the big chains like McDonald’s, Burger King, or even Five Guys. You can tell the owner cares about the quality of the food; he was actively managing the team and even came around to ask if there was anything I needed. It was a nice touch when he thanked me for coming in and supporting the business—it made the experience that much better.

So I order a regular cheeseburger and added the meat and veggie urban way on top which consists of onions, lettuce, tomato, ketchup, mustard and pickles. The classic burger basically. On top of that I ordered a regular normal cut fries with paprika along side a banana milkshake.

Fries: Not bad reminds me of 5 guys fries. Good cutting and fry but if you looking for those crunchy, trippled fried fries this is not it. But it’s still good.

Burger: Beef patty was well done, still juicy though and nicely seasoned. Don’t expect a big patty. Size is closer to any burger chain place. Buns were nicely toasted and didn’t get ruin by the sauce. However, I didn’t really like their pickles. Not sure if it’s to do with the type they buy or something else. Had better pickles for sure.

Milkshake: Nice and thick. But feels closer to vanilla with a hint of banana. No strong banana flavour.

Overall: It’s good but definitely a bit pricey for the flavour it brings to the table. Would recommend trying out...

The food is nice but I think they let themselves down by not having a veggie/vegan burger that is imitation meat (which would fit the vibe of American burgers) - the current veggie burger is a vegetable burger rather than being higher protein. Portions and customisability are great, price is very reasonable and they also do a 10% Blue Light discount. I would be open to going again with others but probably wouldn’t go just for myself as I prefer a different type of vegetarian burger (not a vegetable burger). Service was...
