I’ve unfortunately been a loyal customer of Grill Street Slough for a while, always enjoying the food both in-store and via delivery. Unfortunately, my recent visit resulted in a severe case of FOOD POISONING that required a hospital visit. I reported the issue to the management, and initially, I appreciated that Bilal Malik, one of the owners, responded and offered £50 in store credit as a goodwill gesture OR a refund of my initial order (which thinking about it now, I should’ve taken), but he was soo adamant on me taking the £50 store credit, which I should’ve taken as the first red flag.
However, the situation quickly deteriorated.
I never received the store credit. Instead, I was falsely accused by Bilal of asking staff to convert the credit into cash , something I NEVER did, and which was later confirmed by his staff (manager) during my visit to the store. I followed up multiple times by email and in person (with evidence), and was promised a response that never came. Days went by with no resolution or acknowledgment.
It’s not just about the food issue anymore ,it’s the lack of accountability, false accusations, and broken trust from someone in a position of responsibility.
This whole experience has left me deeply disappointed and unwilling to ever return. It’s unfortunate that a business I used to support handled a serious health matter so carelessly.
If you’re going to serve food to the public, take food safety and customer concerns seriously ,not just when it’s convenient.
My advice to everyone, DO NOT COME HERE UNLESS YOU WANT...
Read moreNot a good experience. The Angus beef seemed to be just normal keema from butcher next door which was minced and spread so thin that there were visible holes in the slices (like you see in cheese slices,) there were 2 of these 1mm thin slices of "angus" beef. Taste was very bland even though we went for the "flaming" option. £6 + 2.50 for chips and drink is a rip off for the skinny burger. There's litetally more more meat in a McDonald's £1 burger. Got ripped off.1
Ordered nachos and cheese stick things as starters, all the food came together! starters are called starters because they come at the start, before the main course. Went to ask how long starters would be and were told "it will come when its ready!" Nachos seemed microwaved. The cheese was so hard that the nachos broke before you could actually get them out from under it. Had to use a fork and pry the nachos out from under the michelin pilot sport looking hard rubbery cheese.
Also, a kid puked up and it took them ages to clean it up. I've just read another review now saying last week another lady puked up in their restaurant! Why are people puking I this place whilst eating!
Will not be returning as I recommended it to other friends who came with me and ended up getting embarrassed and my friend who paid for it all got ripped off with cheap food and...

Been in there 3 or 4 times now...Ordering for myself and friends.
On my first visit the order wasn't the greatest, turned around, popped back and to be fair- they rectified it immediately and were excellent in the way they took on constructive feedback.
Tried a variety of things here: i think the Uptown burgers are excellent, fresh, and seasoned gently, i'm quite fussy BUT these guys have been more than accomodating!...and every single time- the burger has been to my satisfaction!
Nachos- Loaded is an understatement, very topping rich, and very intense flavours!...definitely something good to have as a sharer
Chicken and Rice- It's chicken and rice!...again, very accommodating in how i want things made, and the end result is pretty much perfect every single time
BBQ Wings- Excellent!.... The sauce is smokey, and sweet, and sits really well on the wings
I'm gonna give these guys a 4- because i think subtle tweaks will make it an even better place to visit, this naturally happens over time , and so i can not wait to see how things go in the future!... Well done...
