Costa Coffee — Restaurant in South Holland

I'm very disappointed with the Springfields Spalding Costa. I went in there yesterday and bought a toasted sandwich, the person behind the counter over charged and when I mentioned it she was not happy, upon checking the chiller cabinet it was indeed marked a different price to that on the till, at first she wasn't going to refund me so I said ok give me a total refund and I won't buy it so she took money out of the tip cup, that's not only her money so she's taken it from the rest of the staff. I chose a toasted vegan ham and cheese, the crust was so hard I had to eat around the crust and throw the crust away, my journey back home was 25 minutes, I had to stop twice to be sick, I'm lactose intolerant hence thinking a vegan sandwich would be ok so I guess when toasting there must have been cross contamination through lack of cleaning. If someone had a true allergy they could have died through corners being cut in this store. I don't know how you treat your staff but this staff member was miserable, no apologies, very sour faced and had no customer...

I am disappointed from the shop they make a tea from the tap water 🚰 the whole sink need descaling as there was visible huge amount of lime scale, the water is extremely heavy and not drinkable, if that's the way drinks are made with no filtrated water should cost way less. bubble tea no more than 2£ and I've paid 3.5£ minimum each tea. P.s. First time I had to drink or eat my tea because they give us a wooden spoons with the tea. COSTA should be able at least to buy necessary thick straws for the "bubble tea" they offer how ever the lady said- "the spoons are for the bubbles" Thanks you so much. If you want to do something do it rigth with quality do net charge customers for water...

It’s a nice Costa coffee but the criticism I have is when I was there on 31/05/24 the queue was going out of the door. They could do with more staff in there especially as it was the half term holidays. The prices of lunch there are a little on the expensive side, I mean £3.50 for a small sausage roll, really? But because the other restaurants were full in Springfields and my mother and I only wanted a sandwich or something we just came here. Coffee was really nice though, and the staff were pleasant, so it’s not off putting to come...
