The Noshery Co. Café & Restaurant — Restaurant in South Holland

Our second afternoon visit to the coffee shop, Nosery for a coffee and something savoury. Same bad service as first time, why indeed did we give a second chance. We arrived 12 August about 3pm. There were about 5 people cleaning and emptying already empty selves (good that they are clean). We had to ask for service, because it was more important to dry trays than serve a customer. First question,almost rude, was the table number...so sorry we didn't have that in almost empty coffee shop. Service continued to be bad, it felt as if it was very unnecessary to serve a customer, pile of trays were waiting. We had coffees and two scones, as nothing else savoury available. Luckily we didn't have to wait long for our coffees. Other staff were sweeping the floors and wiping the tables in front of us, almost as if they wanted to say, "go away we a closing and want to do our cleaning". We want to support local business, not big international companies, but next time, Cafe Nero, ...

I brought my mother here whilst shopping at Springfields. Nice wide area for pushchairs and wheelchairs, and lots of seating available here. Please don’t get me wrong, the food was really really nice, delicious and hot and fresh, but the reasons for the three stars is because the prices for certain foods were ridiculously high. My mother and I substituted our crisps with our southern fried chicken wraps and it cost almost £3 for it. I can understand £1.50 something like that but £2.50?? Plus, for a tiny bottle of coke, £3.05! When I was waiting in the queue to order, saw a single packet of crisps cost £1.50! My eyes watered! I think in the current financial difficulties they should maybe have special offers on or something. I would recommend, but maybe just for drinks...

Ordered steak stew. Nowhere on menu did it mention what came with it. Expected a steaming bowl of hearty stew. It came with a minuscule bowl of warm stew served on a plate with a dollop of mashed potato, boiled cabbage and what looked like a load of diarrhoea but was actually some kind of pickle stuff.. when I took it back to the counter and said I’d ordered a bowl of stew and not the other ** that was on the plate, I was told ‘ that’s what it comes with’ . I pointed out that no mention of what came with it was on the menu. If I’d known what it came with I wouldn’t have ordered it. I will never eat in this...
