China Palace — Restaurant in South Kesteven

We visited for a meal for 2 on the off chance. We were greeted with a smile and what can only be described as an encyclopedia of food options which took some time to look over, we ordered a bottle of wine, and must say it was a nice drop. Anyway, we decided on a set menu as we both had dishes the other didn't, we asked to swap out the seafood options and this was easily done so and then the wait........ It took some time for our food to arrive, another family was seated next to us and they seemed to receive their main meals at the same time as us, considering we ordered 20 minutes prior, it did seem as though the take away orders took priority over eat in customers, the dishes were spot on, very tasty and flavoursome, I would recommend the crispy chilli beef.

In total I think from first seating to paying the bill was just over 2 hours, so ensure you don't have time constraints...

This was our first visit,and it was a very foggy wet miserable night outside,so restaurant was fairly quiet, but lotz of takeaways being picked up!we had a lovely meal and e eryone elses food looked lovely and siz,led in a wonderfully aromatic way!!We will order more of a selection next time,as they offered to pack our left over things up for us to take home,so we didnt feel we had wasted our food,that we were too full to eat that night,I thought this was a lovely touch,as I was a bit dubious to ask,but this was offered as soon as tbey came to clear the table,we look forward to returning for a family meal soon,and I think this may be our new favourite takeaway as well,as just as close as our current one in Grantham gown,and parking is so much easier.Thank you for a lovely meal and evening out on a...

Note to management....

When you have customers driving to collect food on a saturday evening (15 minute journey there and home)...Please manage expectations in the future. Not impressed one bit about having to wait 30 minutes in your restaurant after being told my food would be ready to collect at 20.25.
