Morrisons Cafe — Restaurant in South Norfolk

The service we received was an utter disaster. We went for breakfast with our family, and it was a complete mess from start to finish.

The woman at the till was miserable as sin and didn't have a clue about customer service. When we ordered our breakfasts, the servers informed us that the fryers were broken, so we wouldn't be getting any hash browns or black pudding. We asked for replacements, but both servers didn't seem to understand that we should get something else instead of the missing items.

Ten minutes later, we finally received our breakfasts, but they were missing some of the extras we'd ordered. The third server was completely clueless and couldn't figure out why an extra egg was missing. And the poached eggs we ordered were nowhere to be found. We had to ask for them again for them to be brought out.

To top it all off, they charged us for an extra breakfast that we didn't even order. It took a long time for the manager to come over to authorise a refund, only for it to not be a manager but a regular server to give us cash instead. There was poor management in ordering, serving, and dealing with inquiries and issues.

Honestly, it was a horrendous experience. I wouldn't recommend that...

Absolute shambles! Queue up for ages with my 2 year old daughter, pick her a pack up lunch free deal and wait and get to the end to then order my meal, get told the fryers down so cannot really cook anything for me, (why they are not telling people that before the que is beyond me) I said no bother and say I’ll just have a sandwich for my main meal to them be told sorry but that’s £4 and not £4.50 so I cannot get the free kids meal!! I’m only picking that cause I cannot order anything else!! I then say but you cannot cook me food for over the price I need and they just shrug like the dont care, I’ve stood there for ages with my child waiting for her lunch get to the end and they cannot even put a sandwich through and make it work. I even said put it though as a hot meal and I’ll pay the full £4.50. Just nothing, just let me waist near 30mins and get a shrug. Rubbish from start to finish and this isn’t the first time my family have had problems. Always some machine down or not working correctly and always half the staff there should be.. absolute rubbish...

We come here for breakfast regularly and I myself always order 2 lots of 2 pieces of toast (this is where they get confused) so that means I should received 4 pieces total. However, every single time without fail I only receive 2 pieces. The machine doesn’t give you a receipt so despite us telling the server that we’re expecting more, we never receive it and quite frankly they tend to be rude about it claiming that we must’ve gotten confused when ordering. This has also happened at the Beccles and Dereham Morrisons Cafe, not just here. On the contrary, the food always tastes amazing hence why we return, it’s just the service that’s an issue...
