I have been excited to try out BLK HSE since I noticed that it was opening and I can safely say that I was not disappointed at all. I pre-ordered using the Website and was provided a time to collect my order and when I arrived the food was ready to go and the staff where all happy, friendly and all had a smile on their face when I arrived. I had the Chicken Bagel to takeaway with Curley Fries and can honestly say that it was the best Bagel that I have ever eaten, There was plenty of filling and the food tasted fresh and the fries where still hot when I got home ( 10 min walk!). Thoroughly recommend. Support the small independent business. I already cant wait to return myself!

If you want a local, independent small restaurant, serving delicious burgers and bagels, look no further. From a deliberately focussed menu, we enjoyed a delicious, cooked-to- order, chicken with pesto bagel and a pastrami bagel with shared curly fries. They were hot, tasty and surprisingly filling. Staff were welcoming and friendly. With indoor seating for 17 and plans for outside seating, this will be a great place to take a break. Thoroughly recommend. Support the small independent business.

Had a really good falafel bagel, which I asked to make vegan. Probably best falafel in Didcot, herby and crispy but not too dry, with a good amount of hummus to go with it. Also had plenty in their falafel salad later on which was also quite nice. Great that there are alternative milks, I had a caramel ice latte with oat milk, the size of the drink was bigger than expected. Service was quick and friendly. Would love to see more vegan options in the future!

BLK HSE is the ultimate food spot that Didcot needed. We have been crying out for a great burger spot for years, and it doesn’t disappoint. We have already eaten here 7 times - and it only opened this month! My favourites are the BLK HSE burger, curly fries, and the pesto chicken bagel. Everything is made to order, so it’s always fresh and hot (most places get this wrong!!) and the portion sizes are good value for money. We have enjoyed every meal here, whether eating in or taking away, lunchtime or dinner. And have been bringing our friends, too. The staff are super friendly and helpful, and it’s generally just a really nice atmosphere in there. We also love that it’s independent too - feels great to support a local business that is making tasty food! Looking forward to...

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Absolutely loved this place! I tried the bagel burger extra spicy, and it was packed with flavor—juicy, spicy, and perfectly balanced. It was one of those burgers you don’t want to end.

And the curly fries? They were amazing—crispy, seasoned just right, and the portion size was massive. Honestly, I couldn’t even finish all of them (though I gave it my best shot).

The food here is not only delicious but also very generous in quantity. If you’re a burger fan or just looking for a great meal, you definitely need to check this place out....
